Description from owner

Description

Castle Park Cottage is on the boarders of picturesque St.Florence & the coastal village of Manorbier. Nestled in the countryside we have 360 degree views of rolling hills & distant sea views looking out towards Caldey Island.

The cottage is in the 1/2 acre grounds of our house. Once a animal outhouse, the accomodation now offers a comfortable place to relax during your holiday break. Sitting in the lounge enjoy the full height windows that offer views out towards the local grazing land.

The National Park is on our doorstep where you can enjoy over 100 miles of varied costal path walks. Manorbier beach is 5 minutes by car, Tenby is 10 minutes away & St Davids just an hour. The whole area is littered with bays, castles & fantastic views.

During your stay you have the use of our gardens, why not sit in the Pagoda with a drink on a warm evening and enjoy the view of the countryside down to the sea and Caldey island lighthouse in the distance.

“Perfect”

Reviewed 6 Apr 2016

The cottage was everything we hoped it would be - it was clean and decorated beautifully. My daughter loved the butterfly bedding and teddies in her room and enjoyed exploring the garden. Michael and Yoriko were very welcoming and helpful, with lots of ideas of what we could do during our stay. The area is perfect for young children with so much to do that we will need to visit again soon!

“Highly recommended”

My family and I had a really lovely short break at Castle Park Cottage. I would highly recommend this cottage to people looking for a relaxing break in beautiful Pembrokeshire. The cottage is done out to a high standard, it is warm and comfortable and has lovely big picture windows overlooking the peaceful garden, we felt instantly relaxed there! The front garden also has amazing views of the headland in the distance. Michael and Yoriko were wonderful hosts and provided some much appreciated extras such as a generous welcome basket and bubble bath for the kids. We hope to return in the future to enjoy the peace of Pembrokeshire!

“Comfortable, well located home from home cottage”

Michael and Yoriko were very friendly and helpful, with useful tips of where to visit. The cottage was very comfortable with lots of touches to make it feel like home. The welcome basket on arrival was very useful and included things to use all week. The location of the cottage is very good with easy access to places in Pembrokeshire. I would definitely recommend staying at Castle Park, to enjoy a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

“Perfect location for a relaxing, peaceful holiday in scenic surroundings”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2015

The cottage is located within easy distance of some of the most spectacular bays in Pembrokeshire like Freshwater East/West, Barafundle and Manorbier itself. After a packed day of exploring, the cottage is the perfect retreat to come back to! Micheal and Yoriko were very welcoming throughout our stay and provided us with lots of useful information about the area. The welcome pack, in particular the comfy slippers, were greatly appreciated by our aching feet at the end of a full day of walking! We all loved our stay and plan to come back next year to explore some more bays!

“Beautiful and peaceful idyll in the heart of Manorbier”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2015

We arrived after a long journey to be warmly greeted by the owners with a beautiful welcome hamper and shown around their very homely yet contemporary cottage. It was really well appointed and very comfortable. We found it an excellent base from which to explore nearby Manorbier beach and castle (we enjoyed a summer evening fete at the castle there and a wonderful open air evening performance by the Red Herring Theatre Company). The cottage is perfectly located, being peaceful yet ten minutes away from the North and South beaches of Tenby. It is also ideal for visiting Broadhaven and beautiful Barafundel Bay. We were so well looked after and couldn't have asked for better holiday accommodation. We asked the boys to score it for us and they also gave it a big 10/10! Thank you!

“Toddler friendly get away”

A great find. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and beautiful gardens. Owner's really helpful and friendly but not intrusive. Travel cot, highchair and bath useful for my two year old and she loved the owner's cat, boo! Great location being 10 minutes from tenby and 15 minutes from Pembroke and 5 minutes from the nearest bay. Would definitely recommend and use again.

“Great holiday, cottage and location”

Reviewed 14 Jul 2015

We stayed here with our two and half year old and had a wonderful time. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful beaches and you are only a short drive from nearly all the major attractions in Pembrokeshire. The views from the cottage are beautiful and our little boy loved playing with Boo the cat in the fantastic garden! Yoriko and Michael were very friendly, helpful and considerate hosts. The nice welcome basket of goodies was the icing on the cake.

“Just excellent”

Castle Park Cottage is situated ideally for exploring the countryside, historical places, or taking walks alongside the beautiful beach. It is well maintained, tidy and neat, it is a pleasure to sit in the well-kept beautiful garden. The cottage provides excellent accommodation, everything is well arranged and equipped in good taste, very clean. And there is a nice welcome-basket too. Yoriku and Michael are the most friendly, helpful and considerate hosts.

“Just right”

Our stay at Castle Park Cottage could not have been better. We were greeted most warmly by Michael and Yoriko and nothing would be too much trouble for them. The cottage had a light and airy feel to it and everything you could need was provided. The welcome pack and fresh flowers were a lovely addition and certainly helped to make celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary more enjoyable. The cottage was warm and the beds were comfortable. The view from the front garden overlooking the sea was very relaxing. You are able to access all of the garden. We took Michael’s advice to drive into Penally (about 3 miles away), park up and walk along the beach into Tenby (20 to 30 minutes). We enjoyed visiting Manorbier, Narberth, Saundersfoot and Wiseman’s Bridge. We are looking forward to going again - for a longer visit and in the warmer weather. Thank you for a wonderful short break.

“Lovely home from home”

A beautiful place to stay. Every thing you need plus a lovely welcome hamper to add to the enjoyment of your stay. Good location for visiting places such as Tenby and Saundersfoot. Cottage was very comfortable and nice and warm. Large bathroom with a good shower. The cottage was set in lovely gardens and it would be lovely to sit out there in the beautiful pergola ,weather permitting.
