Capel Cartref is a spacious five bedroom, pet friendly accommodation, often described by guests as 'home from home'. The chapel is a perfect space for families and groups with it's speedy WIFI and great amenities. Come and relax in the gallery that hosts a quirky space with its vaulted ceiling and original beams. Notice the pews that have been reclaimed and used around the chapel as window sills, kitchen cornices and window shutters. The chapel has been finished to a very high specification with all of the comforts of home. Breakfast and dining can be held in the spacious modern kitchen or on the decked veranda which overlooks River Twrch. Capel Cartref suits walkers, cyclists, and people who just love to take in the view, or just kick back and take in a movie on the 42" plasma using our Amazon Firestick. This is the perfect accommodation for family reunions... a spacious property to spend time together without getting under each others feet. We have board games, various books and jigsaws for the cosy evenings. The property is within easy reach (via bicycle or car) of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), Black Mountains, Afan Park and Henrhyd Waterfalls. Also South Wales is host to the beaches of The Gower, Mumbles and Swansea Bay, these are accessible by car. The Crown Pub has opened approximately 500 yards from the chapel, which means eating out closely is an easy option.

Capel Cartref is a holiday accommodation and is therefore available for short term lettings consisting of weekends or weekly bookings. The rental cost includes laundry, towels, hot water and heating - please bring your own beach towels. 40% deposit required and final payment to be concluded 3 weeks prior to holiday date. A welcome pack will be provided, detailing specifics about the chapel, ie use of heating, cooker plus details of local attractions such as Afan Park, Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), local waterfalls, black mountains, Aberdulai Falls, Pony Trekking, local golf courses and much more. People who wish to take their dogs on holiday are made welcome at Capel Cartref. The dogs must be well supervised and only permitted downstairs

Capel Cartref is a, large renovated chapel with an enclosed garden, easily accommodating 10 people. The home is a spacious 5 double bedroom dwelling with three bath/shower rooms. Access via the front entrance allows for wheelchair access. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, along with an accessible wet room. There is a large comfortable lounge for TV and board games, made more delightful with it's vaulted ceiling and gallery with separate seating and reading area. Three of the bedrooms are on the first floor, accessible via stairs, along with the main bathroom and one en-suite.

The kitchen and diner is a spacious area, leading to the garden veranda via French doors. Access to the lawn garden from the kitchen, involves steps from the veranda. Alternative access to the garden is via the front and back gates. The pathway is loose slate

Outside is an Enclosed Garden with a veranda. There is private parking at the rear of the property for three cars, plus one space at the front. There is comfortable seating and a charcoal BBQ. An outside tap makes it easy to clean off bikes and boots, plus there is secure space to keep bikes when not in use. The Crown Inn pub and restaurant is within 500 yards from Capel Cartref plus supermarkets are approximately one mile away.

With regards to smoking, we do not encourage it within the house but accept that guests may want to smoke in garden. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
