Description

Heatherlea has three bedrooms to accommodate six people, 1 double, on the 2nd floor, with ensuite shower, sink & toilet, and views over Morecambe Bay.

King sized bedroom located on the 1st floor with 32" flatscreen TV with Freesat.

3rd bedroom has 2 single beds and is also located on the first floor.

A travel cot is provided with safety mattress and mattress cover but please bring your own cot bedding.

The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, wash basin and toilet.

The property has two flights of stairs 26 stairs in total so not suitable for people with limited mobility.Stair gates are provided for children at the bottom of the stairs and in the twin bedroom.

Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge with Freesat, Smart TV, DVD player, CD player and WIFI. Combi boiler, plenty of hot water on demand. Radiators in every room.

The property is spacious with lovely views over Morecambe Bay from the master bedroom. An ideal base for walking, cycling or just relaxing, and close enough to explore the magnificant Lake District.

There are a variety of good walks in the area and for the more adventurous why not try Scarfell Pike or the Old man of Coniston. Good local shops,pubs,cafes and takeaways, within walking distance.

Dalton zoo provides a good day out with the kids. The aquarium of the lakes is only a short drive away.

“Recent Visit”

Excellent accommodation. The owners had thought of everything. The cottage was ideally located for visiting the surrounding area. Grange Over Sands is a lovely place and im sure we will visit again.

Great location for exploring the lakes. Cottage clean and well equipped with lovely comfy beds.Super view of the bay from the top bedroom.Milk and chocolate cake left for us was a lovely touch.We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

“Great sized, well equipped house”

We stayed in this house for 3 nights and it was plenty big enough for myself, husband, 2 children and dog. The attic room was great for my daughter, she didn’t want to leave it! The kitchen was well equipped with lots extras you don’t expect like plenty of tea towels, cling film and foil, kitchen roll and a full washing up liquid and soap. These little touches make going away a lot easier. We liked Grange itself, the butchers is great, nice little shops and the promenade made for a good walk. 20 mins ish from Kendal and not far from lakeside in Windermere where we got a ferry to Bowness (35 mins) and then back. Dogs welcome. I would recommend this house and area, also being in the south of the lakes there isn’t all the winding hilly roads you get further up, which was great for me as I get carsick on those roads!

We have spent a wonderful 3 nights in Heatherlea Cottage Grange Over Sands! The cottage was very clean, well equipped, cosy and situated in an area full of visitor attractions. Looking forward to visiting again!

Perfectly located close to the shops and the promenade. House itself is lovely 3 great size bedrooms very comfortable lovely kitchen with everything you could need and more! The wifi was good and very welcome when you have a 17 year old boy with you! We loved the house and Grange over Sands we can't wait to go back

Lynda was an excellent hostess who ensured that directions to the cottage were clear. We arrived earlier than expected while she was still preparing for us but she was unfazed and allowed us to unpack the car and move in. The cottage was everything we hoped for with three lovely bedrooms, two bathrooms, large lounge and kitchen as well as a small rear garden. We could not fault it as it was so well equipped and we had a great time exploring Grange itself as well as the Southern Lakes. Our dog made herself at home immediately and all her needs were catered for too with feeding bowls and even poop bags. Would highly recommend and hope to return sometime.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
