Heatherlea has three bedrooms to accommodate six people, 1 double, on the 2nd floor, with ensuite shower, sink & toilet, and views over Morecambe Bay.

King sized bedroom located on the 1st floor with 32" flatscreen TV with Freesat.

3rd bedroom has 2 single beds and is also located on the first floor.

A travel cot is provided with safety mattress and mattress cover but please bring your own cot bedding.

The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, wash basin and toilet.

The property has two flights of stairs 26 stairs in total so not suitable for people with limited mobility.Stair gates are provided for children at the bottom of the stairs and in the twin bedroom.

Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge with Freesat, Smart TV, DVD player, CD player and WIFI. Combi boiler, plenty of hot water on demand. Radiators in every room.

The property is spacious with lovely views over Morecambe Bay from the master bedroom. An ideal base for walking, cycling or just relaxing, and close enough to explore the magnificant Lake District.

There are a variety of good walks in the area and for the more adventurous why not try Scarfell Pike or the Old man of Coniston. Good local shops,pubs,cafes and takeaways, within walking distance.

Dalton zoo provides a good day out with the kids. The aquarium of the lakes is only a short drive away.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Very comfortable and clean and lots of really thoughtful provisions, handsoap, cleansing gels, washing up liquid etc. Wouldn't hesitate to re-book, very good host.

The house was lovely and clean had everything we needed to make our Christmas dinner, nothing was too much trouble for the owner and the best part was our dog enjoyed it to. We will be back again.

Dear Lynda apologies for the delay in writing a review. We all had a magical weekend at Heatherlea. Thankyou so much for your thoughtfulness and kindness from start to end, it is truly appreciated. We took our two boys and our dog, Teddy. The cottage is beautiful, warm and truly special. The area is reminiscent of a by gone area, which I think adds to the stay, truly lovely. A fabulous cosy home, with everything you need and more, including a lovely little garden to relax in after a day out. Excellent communication with Lynda, right up to day of arrival. Perfect location for enjoying Grange over Sands, Cartmel, Lakeside and surrounding areas. Fantastic band playing in the park on the Sunday. Gorgeous tea rooms, and The Estuary Restaurant was superb. Would thoroughly recommend and would love to return!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lynda & Dominic (the owner) a message.

If Lynda & Dominic (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
