Welcome to Higher Hopworthy!

Higher Hopworthy Cottage is one of two lovely converted barns on a 140 acre working farm on the Devon/ Cornwall border, situated 8 miles from the popular seaside town of Bude with its surfing beaches & sea pool.

The property has 2 bedrooms, family bathroom, well equipped farmhouse kitchen and spacious lounge. The main bedroom has a double bed and french doors leading onto the patio. Private patio and enclosed garden with seating, BBQ and hot tub. The farm has a private fishing lake with free fishing for guests. Free wifi. All heating, towels, bed linen included. Plenty of parking. Storage for bikes etc if required. Pub 1 mile, shops 3 miles.

Fantastic location allowing you to explore the best of both counties. Within easy reach of the sandy beaches on the north coast, including the excellent surfing beach of Widemouth and the award winning seaside town of Bude with its beaches and sea pool, shops, pubs and restaurants (approximately 8 miles). The market town of Holsworthy is 3 miles from Higher Hopworthy offering traditional countryside shops, cafes and pubs. A popular 18 hole golf course is situated a few miles away and many family attractions are well worth a visit including The Milky Way. Riding, fishing and the coastal footpaths are also close by. You are welcome to enjoy the 140 acres of farmland with a large pond and free fishing.

Why can't I call Paul (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Paul (the owner) a message.

If Paul (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
