"Peaceful, Comfortable, clean and well equipped lodge in very good location."
Wonderful place to stay and would love to go again. The onsite restaurant was closed for 2 nights for private functions but when we did go, the food offered was basic so take own provisions. Pool access is £30 per family per stay, possibly a bit expensive for just a weekend. Definitely worth a visit is Brockhole, 5 minutes walk down the road, offering good facilities for all the family and not overly expensive. We had a lovely meal on the terrace overlooking the lake, adventure play ground and lots of space for children, beautiful gardens. Very central for Windermere and Ambleside. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
