“Great location”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2018

Property is ideally located for exploring Belfast and the surrounding area with easy access to the city centre and major roads/motorways. We were warmly welcomed by the host and generously provided with a fantastic welcome basket. The property may be a little dated, but has charm and lots of space, both indoors and outdoors. A great self-catering option for visiting Northern Ireland with 2 children. We were able to enjoy the quiet of the country at night with the comforts provided by town convenience.

“Fantastic”

I made the booking on behalf of our engineers as they have been working in Belfast. Our host David was great very friendly and made our boys feel at home. Thank-you again!! Lynn Duffy @ Halliday Lighting Ltd

Owner's reply: Thanks for the great review. The lads would be welcome back anytime.

“Lovely country house”

Reviewed 2 Feb 2018

Enjoyed my stay , beds were really comfortable, and host David was very helpful and kind, prepared the fire on cold days and provided logs and coal to enjoy a lovely cozy fire, only thing I would add is to have a modern descant TV in the main living room to relax on the more comfortable chairs. The property is easy enough to get to all areas of N Ireland..will return with family.

Owner's reply: Cindy would be welcome back anytime.

“Classic charm- "feels like going home"”

Reviewed 27 May 2017

If you want a fast-pace, contemporary style holiday this is not it. Prime for rest and peacefulness. The view is beautiful. You feel as though you are far from anywhere but your not. Location is great! Easy access to lovely walking paths though the city center is still very convenient by car. The home is not modern but lovely and comfortable with all everything you need. The owner is very helpful and kind.

Owner's reply: Thanks Carey for such a positive review. We are so pleased that the house suited your visit to Belfast. Welcome back anytime. David & Julie.

“Peaceful and picturesque”

Reviewed 20 Apr 2017

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay. The house is located 15 minutes from the city centre, with local ammenties very close. It has an old fashioned charm but very clean and met all our needs. The garden was a big winner with our 3 young children and we all the loved the picturesque views of the countryside from the house. The host, David, was very welcoming and at hand if we had any queries. He kindly supplied a lovely hamper with local produce. I'm sure we'll stay at the house in the future again.

Owner's reply: Thanks Neil. We are so pleased that the house met your needs while staying in Belfast. David.

“Great location close to both city and countryside”

Reviewed 18 Apr 2017

Good location close to Belfast but with access to the countryside. Minnowburn, Shaw's Bridge and Malone House are very close. The house is abit old fashioned but full of character and has great views. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your comments. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Thanks again. David & Julie

“It was very good.”

Would recommend to a friend. Nice quiet cottage. Friendly service. The garden and Victorian furniture in the property were really good. Nice experience overall.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the very positive review and we are so pleased that the house suited you and your family while staying in Belfast.
