“Relaxing getaway” Had a lovely time touring the area. Went to Lindisfarne and Alnwick Castle. Which were both amazing.. also went to a few eateries in the are and can’t say we had a bad meal. A couple were basic pub food but Lollo Rosso Italian in Morpeth is highly recommend, excellent food, attentive staff and reasonable prices. Plenty of unspoilt beaches around the area and lots to do. Bolt hole by the beach is very clean, well supplied with everything you need (other than food). Plenty of useful books about the area to browse. Will definitely stay again if visiting the area

“Cosy apartment in convenient location” Conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre, railway station, and retail park, Minster View Apartment has most of the ingredients for the perfect city break. It is quite spacious, warm and well equipped, and feels very secure. The only problem we had during our stay was with the lounge furniture, which we felt should have been ‘retired’ some time ago. We found it uncomfortable to a point where a night watching telly became something of an endurance test! That said, the inconvenience was relatively minor in the scale of things, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Beverley and would happily return.

“Paradise” Absolutely stunning place with tonnes of character! The views are spectacular and the area is so quiet! Perfect for the relaxing detox we were after. Eddie was so welcoming and really made us feel at home. There was only one problem, the fact that we couldn’t stay there forever. We’ll definitely be back!

“Home from home!” Peaseblossom House is a real home from home. Louise and Viv have put so much thought into making the cottage welcoming and comfortable that you're free to enjoy your holiday knowing you have somewhere great to return to at the end of each busy day. Alnwick is a superb base for a holiday; close to the wonderful beaches, surrounded by beautiful countryside and within reach of great cities such as Edinburgh and Newcastle. Highly recommended!

“Exceptional cottage” Juliet cottage is a beautiful charming cottage set in the pretty market town of alnwick. The cottage has been furnished to a very high standard with the personal touch in every room. The thought that has gone into this cottage exceeds expectations for example - fresh flowers in the rooms, beautiful pictures, parking ticket for Northumberland car parks, the list goes on and on. So much care has gone into this accommodation to make your visit one to remember. The cottage is centrally located and is in easy reach of restaurants, shops and of course Barter Books. Would rank this cottage as one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Many thanks to Louise and Viv for the care during our stay.

“Perfect property for first break away with baby” From our first enquiry about Pudding Cottage, the owner Jacky was extremely helpful and full of information about the property and area. We were looking for a child friendly cottage (we have a 9 month old baby), with enough space to accommodate both sets of grandparents and Pudding was perfect, we were certainly not disappointed. The cottage has everything you would need for children. This includes travel cots, highchair, toys and games. It really is a home from home. We especially liked the patio area at the back of the cottage, where we enjoyed afternoon tea overlooking the private shared garden. The location is ideal. Not too far from Windermere or ambleside, both of which had all the amenities we needed. Best of all for us, the cottage was clean and maintained to a very high standard. We will certainly be back next year.

“Fantastic” Absolutely amazing cottage! Location was fantastic, Close to everything and the cottage was very clean and spacious. The cottage was really cosy and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the shower was fantastic! Would definitely recommend staying here and we will definitely come back hopefully with some better weather. =]

“Beautiful hidden gem” Perfect little property which didn't disappoint. Beautifully furnished inside from the stunning bathroom to the amazing open planned kitchen/living room with the log burner!!! Great communication from the owners and the little touches like the tea, coffee, milk make all the difference! Info booklets provided also helps to find local activities if new to City. Great location too (10/15 minute stroll along wall to centre). Will definitely be visiting again and already recommending it to everyone i speak to!!!

“Perfection is a fickle creature.” We always look for somewhere within walking distance of town and Greenside is just about perfect (5 minutes walk). The cottage is a two-up, two-down (with attached "outhouse" with loo and washing machine) so in comparison to our home is "bijoux" shall we say. However, with bijoux comes cosy and luckily we don't have a cat lol. Christine has thought of almost everything one could ever want and need; so full-marks there. The road gives a bit of noise during bed-time but it shouldn't be a problem if you're used to light traffic. The lakes are on your doorstep so we had a lovely four day break. We recommend Rydal Hall, Rydal water (caves included), Skelwith Bridge Elterwater, The Tarns (Tarn Hows) for leisurely walking and I went to Blea Tarn and Wast Water - not for the faint hearted regarding the drive over Wrynose and Hard Knott passes but well worth the angst for the scenery. In summary, the cottage is ideal for a home-from-home stay, very clean and Christine provides welcoming touches too - 9/10! We would stay again and recommend it to couples.
