“Perfect romantic escape” Looking for a hideout to get away from it all for a weekend we found Stable Cottage to be cosy and well equipped with everything and more. The location was secluded and peaceful but still within short driving distance to the paths, beach, Cockermouth and Keswick. Local scenery on route to Keswick is breathtaking and well worth another visit to investigate further. We would definitely come and stay again, most probably for longer next time. The home baked welcome treats and wine were a lovely surprise. Best carrot cake ever! Many thanks from Stuart and Jo.

“Mrs” Stayed for weekend break with my husband and another couple all in our 50's and we're really impressed with this apartment. It was done out to an excellent standard spotlessly clean warm and comfortable in every way. It's in really easy walking distance of the town. Beautiful views of the coast from windows. We have stayed in some lovely apartments in the UK and abroad but this one was the best equipped we have ever been in, lots of crockery and cooking equipment just everything we needed. “What a gem!” Stayed here for four nights in November and the apartment was brilliant. The view from those windows was magnificent and fortunately we had good weather so saw some spectacular sunrises. The apartment was so comfortable and easy to settled into. Alan answered any pre-holidays queries quickly. Would highly recommend this apartment.

“This is an outstanding house offering accommodation which ensures a fabulous holiday!” The house itself is an iconic landmark overlooking the coast in Beadnell and offering well designed accommodation, which provides ample space for a large extended family to enjoy their stay. There was a welcome tray stacked with thoughtful goodies and flowers in vases. Everywhere was clean and well equipped. The spa bath is an absolute treat. We enjoyed the pool table and the football table; in fact we enjoyed everything about the house. The owners even allow you use the hot tub, as long as you monitor everything appropriately - it really is worth the faff. Luxuriating in warm bubbles at the end of the day is a joy! The local environs are simply stunning, especially if the weather is kind as it was during our stay. We enjoyed the nearby beaches as well as Bamburgh and Alnwick. You must try the fish and chips across the road! We hope to come back again for another shot of absolutely everything. Many thanks to the owners for providing such a lovely place to share memories.

“Lovely apartment in a lovely location” My family stayed at Princes as a two night stopover after holidaying in Scotland. We were really pleased with the bright and modern apartment. Princes is well thought out, with lovely homely touches and lots of amenities. The apartment is in a perfect location, with cash point, post office, butchers, cafe, restaurant and corner shop right on the doorstep. The crescent leads straight down to the sea front, which you can even see from the lounge bay window! The kids had a great time playing on the sandy beach and searching rock pools for sea life. We wish we had booked to stay longer.

“Wonderful place” Bay View is exactly what it says; we often sat in groups, or individually, gazing at the spectacular view of Morecambe Bay. The house was characterful, comfortable and met the needs of a large and age diverse family group. We found the managing agent always available and helpful. The surrounding area is beautiful and interesting; Silverdale is an attractive village with an interesting local pub.

Grange over Sands itself is a good base for the Lakes and further afield. Had a great holiday here with our 4 and 7 year olds.

“A perfect family base for a seaside holiday” Roomy and beautifully equipped, the Pavilion makes the ideal base for a large family group (grandparents, parents and two children in our case). It has a huge garden and plenty of toys and equipment provided to make sure we made good use of it. The beach and sea are visible from every room and are no more than couple of minutes walk away so the cars can stay in the ample off-street parking. The kitchen is fully equipped for family meals and if you don't fancy cooking there are instructions in the visitors book for getting (very good) fish and chips delivered to the house. Everything else you need is on hand: TVs, DVD and WiFi plus cards, dominoes and games if you want to get away from the electronics. Sandsend itself is an ideal place to remind yourself how much fun you can have with sand and water with the beck coming down to the sea through the middle of the village providing a safe little beach and paddling pool for younger kids. For the more athletic, there are good walks on the adjoining Mulgrave Estate and Whitby is only a couple of miles down the Cleveland Way.

“Even better than I had hoped...” We spent a wonderful February week at Bankfield House with my family, husband, self, twin five year olds and a whole heap of friends who variously joined us over the week for 40th birthday celebrations. It was the most perfect house for such festivities. Everyone loved it. The house was super for young children who happily amused themselves in the garden, using the toys available outside in the outhouse. (The children have also become hooked on Monopoly since the stay). The kitchen was really well stocked with all imaginable cookware. The availability of towels and bedding - ideal for many house guests over the week - was second to none. Helen and Eric gave us a warm welcome from the very first email right through our stay and they are super holiday house owners being both relaxed and very thoughtful about guests' needs. I can't say how excited I was when I found this house on the website because I knew it was exactly what I was looking for - slightly quirky, very homely and with stunning, uplifting views. The house has an amazing friendly feeling to it and it is even lovelier than the website suggests. Thank you Eric and Helen. We really want to get back!
