“Great base” Caravan was a fantastic base for exploring the Lake District. It had everything we needed and was clean upon arrival. WiFi didn’t work but this was a park issue. Owner was great to deal with and we would definitely try to book again next time we are in the area.

“Laburnum cottage” Lovely little cottage well situated at the end of the high street. The cottage was clean and the owners are very helpful. The garden is lovely, ideal for dogs and the bottom gate leads on the tow path at the side of the beck. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay there again.

“Wonderful Stay in the 'South Wing'” An annual event for 10-12 ladies each year who all like a characterful stay away with the comforts of home! South Wing offered great accommodation and the rare luxury of being able to all sit together in a choice of two sitting rooms; as well as eat altogether around the huge dining table (whilst being watch by Winston Churchill!) The bedrooms were also equally lovely - huge rooms - so plenty of room for travel cots or extra beds for families all staying together. Kitchen was very well kitted out with plenty of cutlery, crockery and utensils - sometimes these are few and far between in holiday cottages! It was also great to be able to go for fab walks straight from the front door!

“Fantastic” Absolutely amazing cottage! Location was fantastic, Close to everything and the cottage was very clean and spacious. The cottage was really cosy and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the shower was fantastic! Would definitely recommend staying here and we will definitely come back hopefully with some better weather. =]

“Beautiful barn” Bamburgh barn is exceptional. A brilliant location plus second to none view of the iconic castle. Myself and five friends stayed there to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday and we would all love to re visit one day. Everything is within walking distance bars, Restaurants , shops etc even the castle. Would definitely recommend without a doubt.

“Perfection is a fickle creature.” We always look for somewhere within walking distance of town and Greenside is just about perfect (5 minutes walk). The cottage is a two-up, two-down (with attached "outhouse" with loo and washing machine) so in comparison to our home is "bijoux" shall we say. However, with bijoux comes cosy and luckily we don't have a cat lol. Christine has thought of almost everything one could ever want and need; so full-marks there. The road gives a bit of noise during bed-time but it shouldn't be a problem if you're used to light traffic. The lakes are on your doorstep so we had a lovely four day break. We recommend Rydal Hall, Rydal water (caves included), Skelwith Bridge Elterwater, The Tarns (Tarn Hows) for leisurely walking and I went to Blea Tarn and Wast Water - not for the faint hearted regarding the drive over Wrynose and Hard Knott passes but well worth the angst for the scenery. In summary, the cottage is ideal for a home-from-home stay, very clean and Christine provides welcoming touches too - 9/10! We would stay again and recommend it to couples.

“Lovely relaxing stay” We stayed at owl barn cottage for 2 nights lovely accommodation .Location is perfect , set in the countryside and only about 8 miles from the city of York , definitely worth using the park and ride . Bedrooms are of a good size and very comfortable . The highlight of our stay was the use of the hot tub and the log burner . Will definitely recommend the cottage and definitely stay again Thank you so much
