How we sort results
Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Relevance
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Total reviews
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Miss” I had a great time when I stayed at Tailor's Cottage. The cottage had everything you need!! Kathleen even went to the trouble of making sure the essentials were provided on arrival - not only fresh milk, butter, and croissants there was even washing powder and washing up liquid!!! The owners went above and beyond tonensure our stay was as comfortable as possible and the beaches were beautiful!!! I cannot reccomend this place enough and would love to visit again!!! So much to do and see but just not enough time!!!

“Lovely homely house from which to explore west and north Clare” Modern but characterful house, spacious, lots of natural light, great views to both Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. If you're looking for a peaceful break to recharge your batteries, Gorse Cottage fits the bill. Two or three pubs close by in Doolin with good food and music as well. Get one of the local guides (we recommend Mary Howard) to show you and explain the Burren. If you're a cyclist, do the coast road to Fanore and Ballyvaughan, it's a lovely ride.

“Excellent home away from home to enjoy the sunny southeast.” This is a very nice chalet with excellent hosts (Georgina and Ian). The chalet was very clean upon our arrival which was to be expected but what was not expected was the warm homemade bread, homemade jams and several food items. Georgina was very helpful and answered all our queries with ease and good humour. The sunny southeast didn't always live up to its name but there are many indoor activities locally to keep you occupied. Heartily would recommed Windy Neuk for two or three people. Nightlife options are really the local restaurants and pubs.

“A hidden part of Heaven on Earth” I never knew places like this existed in Ireland. The setting is absolutely beautiful with the thick forests and gentle flowing river. The cabin itself was stunning, perfectly furnished, spacious and complete with everything you need to give you the comforts of home - from Sky TV to a dishwashing machine to a Dyson vacuum cleaner. The owners were extremely welcoming and friendly. I almost don't want to write a review because I want this place to remain a secret for ourselves but I would be doing the owners a massive disservice. They are lovely people and provided a perfect service. My wife and I brought our two Springer spaniel pups who enjoyed the stay probably even more than we did with long walks in the forest and their first swim in the river. The fact there is no wifi and very little phone signal just added to the peace and tranquility of the whole experience. If you are looking for a place to get away from the craziness modern world and recharge the batteries 36 River Valley is the place to go. I couldn't praise this place highly enough.

“Great stay at Ballykeeffe Farmhouse” We spent a week here last week and were very happy with everything about the farm house and the facilities. It’s only a 15 minute drive into the centre of Kilkenny.Brigid and family made us feel welcome and right at home. We would thoroughly recommend to anyone considering booking.

“Quaint and Quirky” Beautiful cottage surrounded by gorgeous scenery. The property was clean and had everything you could need and more. Sleeps 6 comfortably (Very comfy duvets)! Didn't use the conservatory but did use the games and rackets for outside. Plenty of garden space for outdoor play. Owner was very helpful and communication was excellent. If your looking for a peaceful break surrounded by natural beauty this is the place to go.

“Amazing would go back today” Just back from a long weekend in the boathouse, the sun made it feel like being abroad. I went with my father, sister, brother in law , my brother (13)and nephew's (9 years & 6 months) and we had a great time. The 2 older kids had a ball and loved being able to go off on adventures and were never bored once. The beds are so comfortable I would love to have one like that at home.Waking up to the sea on your door step was a great experience, cant recommend this highly enough.

“Perfect holiday let” My cousin & I booked 24a for 4 nights as we were attending a family wedding in the area and we couldn't have made a better choice! The house itself is wonderful, very comfortable and homely with everything you need, including some much welcomed provisions of bread, milk, tea, coffee, cheese, ham and biscuits. The location is ideal, next to train station and 10/15 minute walk to the harbour with all its great pubs and restaurants. The host Mary is an absolute delight, very helpful and welcoming and a font of local knowledge. We could not recommend this place more highly.

“HEAVEN” Absolutely brilliant location and bungalow. Totally ideal and very well kitted out. We can not find anything to fault Gort na Cuile. We all had a ball and enjoyed the nearby Malin Head, Five fingers strand and the Seaview Tavern. We especially enjoyed the daily drive to and from Ballyliffin via Malin as we were working at the Irish Open golf. Would definitely intend returning.

“Marvelous place with wonderful hosts.. a perfect hideaway from the world” I have to explain that me and the Frenchie stayed for a week in the old pub cottage the year before last around the New Year. We loved the place - the unspoilt scenery and Eileen and Robert. The Frenchie wrote notes and I was supposed to do the review but being the scatterbrain that I am - I mislaid the notes and now I have found them. Frenchie's notes: Its freezing outside; night is dark. Everything is quiet, no noise except for the howling of the storm in the fireplace. No blaring lights - Eileen's xmas tree and ours, a candle and flames. My beloved Margaret is sleeping (snoring) in the other settee. I am drinking my red piper beer and I can smell the stew. Can I expect more with holidays. A couple of days before - the satenave gave up on us and Eileen and Robert came to rescue us in front of the "Dereen Gardens". They opened the door of the "old pub" - the fire was lit, a bottle of wine, box of chocolates and flowers.... so kind reception. Eileen supplied all informations about the kitchen and Robert described all the lovely restoration work which he did on the cottage. Some days later, we spent hours around the table, tasting Josie's cake, wine and chatting of everything. . Thank you so much - you are so kind and your cottage is one of the best we have stayed in. So marvellous people, so marvellous Beara. Please, please - don't change anything - you, your cottage, Beara. You remind me of the Ireland I had visited and loved 35 years before. I could not find this any more in another place until I found you and your cottage. I have to endorse everything which the Frenchie says - I just loved the romanticism of the place, the beautiful wood which Eileen looked after so well, the roaring fire and your helpfulness and kindness. Outside, I loved seeing the sheepies - leaving their fronds of wool on the little wooden fence which ran alongside the landscape. We discovered the Healy Pass with its heft of high cliffs and narrow pases, the solitude of Glandore Lake, the rainbow colours of the houses in Eyeries and the unspoilt scenery of the Beara Penninsula. We also liked the vitality of Kenmare where the Frenchie discovered to his delight an authentic French bakery. We loved the quiet ordinariness of Castletownbere, the way of life on Dursey and Valentia and Beara Islands, Helen's Pub introduced us to the friendliness of country life and food was excellent. Josie's made us envious of such a lovely setting to dine in. Wishing ye all the best in life Robert and Eileen because ye are the perfect hosts. Margaret from Dublin and Didier from France

“Peaceful comfortable cottage” Stayed here in June last year at the height of the heatwave and it was lovely. Very convenient to Ardara and shops etc. Located in a beautiful part of Donegal. Used cottage as a base to explore the beautiful countryside, beaches, hill, rivers and waterfall. Mary was a lovely hostess and nothing was a bother. Cottage very clean and comfortable and surrounded by large garden and parking. Bonus was it is pet friendly. Would stay again

“Fab stay in no 20” We had such a lovely week in mulranny . The house was cozy with amazing views of Clew Bay and the mountains . We loved being near the Greenway and the pool next door was great for rainy days . We cycled 18k from Mulranny to Newport with the kids and they loved it . We had a couple of lovely visits to Achill and saw more this time . We loved the Atlantic drive! We hope to be back again next year! Thanks for letting us stay ! Loved it !

“A relaxing home from home” We agree with all the other reviewers. Linda has thought of everything one might want or need in a holiday rental, even small details like bedside clocks and cozy throws on the backs of the sofas. The cottage was SPOTLESS. It was wonderful to share our long weekend with our dogs - one sat for long periods in her bed by the bedroom window and gazed out over Brandon Bay! The views from every window are spectacular. The beach is close to the cottage and O'Donnell's pub in the village has great character, charm, good food and beer and good company. We look forward to returning here.

“Fantastic stay in an incredible house” We are just back from three nights in Malin beg staying at the barn. What an amazing experience. The photos on this site do not do the house itself justice. It is finished to the highest standard and was incredibly comfortable. Lydia greeted us on arrival and was very warm and welcoming. The information we received prior to arrival from melody was fantastic and we were well prepared for our weekend. We attended a course in nearby glen colmchille and it was only a short drive away. The scenery surrounding the house and the views need to be seen to be believed. Would highly recommend.

“A Perfect Holiday Home...” Hi, Returned on Monday after a two-night stay. An excellent holiday home with perfect ambiance for a holiday trip. 6 Adults and 6 kids were accommodated with ease. A nearby stunning beach. A very helpful owner. Moreover, the house located at a magnificently beautiful pure Irish speaking village with all sign boards are in Irish as well. We even attended an Irish language Holy Mass on Sunday. Highly recommended for a perfect holiday.

“Amazing weekend” Eight women stayed here for a weekend and we had an amazing time. House was exactly what we wanted. Secluded, peaceful and yet we could still get a taxi into the nearest town where people were very friendly. Pheilm the owner was very helpful and welcoming. Honestly one of the best weekend's we all had and I would highly recommend it even if you aren't there for fishing! We got to watch the Sun rise over the lake and that was beautiful. We will definitely return to this house. This house is perfect for anyone who just wants to get away from it all.

“Just Perfect!” Everything about this house was just perfect: the location (in the middle of everything, but still quiet) and size (2 bedrooms, 2 baths) was just as advertised , and still very cozy. We didn't cook much, but the kitchen was nice-sized and fully equipped, and the living room was just large enough with very comfy furniture to relax in after a long day of touring. Both rooms also have great wood-burning stoves. We did not get to meet Kathleen, but Steve met us at the house (and he even saved a parking spot for us!) and gave us a great tour of he house as well as something good info on local pubs, etc. In summary, we can't recommend this property well enough!

“Very clean and comfortable accommodation in a good location.” The bungalow is a good size and is very clean and comfortable. It has everything you need for your stay. A jar of coffee, teabags, sugar, milk and cake was there for us on arrival, which we thought was a nice touch. The owner Sharon, is very nice and helpful, she even offered to pick us up from the village if we wanted a night out. The bungalow is about a five minute drive from Adare Village and is in an ideal location for visiting the sights. We will stay again at Earl House, when we return to Ireland and would recommend this accommodation to anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay.

“Fantastic apartment in the centre of Kilmore Quay.” Marina View is the perfect base for a visit to Kilmore Quay. The apartment itself is right in the centre of the town and the two beaches are right on its door step, along with numerous places to eat and a well-stocked grocery shop. The apartment itself is great, extremely well equipped, comfortable, spacious and well furnished. We particularly enjoyed being able to watch the comings and goings in the harbour from the window. Aideen and Noeleen were extremely helpful in answering any queries that we had during our stay. We will certainly be back for a return visit !

“Truly special place to stay” We stayed at Tom & Cathy's house for a week. The house is truly lovely with amazing views out to the sea. The house has everything you need and with just a short walk to a secluded beach what more can you ask for. An ideal place for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful of the west coast. We had dramatic sunset's and storms and very for budding photographers as the scene changes constantly. A car is needed to reach larger shops but with a pub down the road with a small shop attached to it you don't really need to venture too far. There are plenty of things to do if you wanted to venture out with Achill Island an hour away, plenty of watersports to a Neolithic site about half an hour. Final word, sanctuary.

“Davenport cottage Culdaf Donegal” This is our second stay at Davenport cottage and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere staying on a working farm. The cottage is only 5 minutes drive into the town and views from the cottage looking over culdaf beach are simply amazing. Alan the owner took time out to welcome us along with his three lovely dogs. Would revisit without hesitation.

“Relaxing” We decided to spend our vacation in Co. Kerry in Ireland and we rented a Dan’s house. It was a great choice as the house is spacious, tidy, cozy and warm and the view from the windows is absolutely breathing. We fell in love with this place and with a neighbour’s dog as well. It was a magical and unforgettable time. Thank you Dan for making it happen!

“Wonderful cottage and hosts!” The cottage was fantastic! It was very clean, and had all of the essentials for us to enjoy our family vacation. The cottage is located in a perfectly central location to all of Southern Ireland's activities. Jumping over to Galway, Ennis, Limerick, Doolin, etc... was very easy. Our favorite activities were the Cliffs of Moher and Bunratty Castle. It's also a great starting point to head down for a day to Dingle and Killarney! Overall, we cannot recommend the cottage enough and the hosts are incredibly accommodating and welcoming.
