“Ideal house for Lahinch” Our group of 5 spent 3 nights at Klondell House in May 2014. Location is ideal with golf course across the street and 'downtown' Lahinch less than 10 minutes walk. House is well-equipped, clean and spacious. The only issue for our group was the lack of wifi. Highly recommended.

“A wondrous Holiday!” I miss Knockatinna already, having spent a lovely two weeks in its embrace! It's truly in the country, but only a five minute drive from a delightful village (Glenbeigh - with several wonderful pubs, including the Olde Glenbeigh, with origins dating back to the late 1700's). The house was truly outfitted for "self-catering", with all kitchen accoutrements on hand. Linens, towels, etc., were amply furnished. The house is well heated, but for chill evenings, two fireplaces add to the charm of the place. From Knockatinna we toured the Ring of Kerry, the Dingle Penninsula (greeting Fungie, the friendly Dolphin in Dingle Bay), Blarney Castle, Cashel of the Kings and Cork City as well as Bunratty, Durty Nellie's and the unbelievable Cliffs of Moher. We enjoyed spectacular beaches, the Bog Museum, classic Irish farms and pastures, pristine lakes, and of course, embracing Irish hospitality served up by John and Kathleen O'Shea and their fabulous daughter, Laura. All made for a wondrous holiday which we would love to repeat as soon as possible.

“Superb house in a relaxing and private setting close to lovely Sneem” We had very high expectations of this property and we were not disappointed. The house is very comfortable and superbly equipped. It kept the whole family happy: plenty of opportunities for walks and exploring, reading or perfect for teenage chilling. The house is quiet and private with lovely views but really handy for getting out and about around this lovely part of the world. In one too-short week we packed in quiet, short walks; more strenuous walks up the mountains; riding on the beach (twice!); boat trips from Kenmare and of course, countless visits to Sneem. (O'Shea's is just great). Everyone was so friendly, particularly the owners, who couldn't have been more helpful. A great place to stay.

“Great Christmas Retreat” Couldn't recommend Springmount. House enough at anytime of the year. We booked the house for Xmas week as we were attending a nephews wedding in lisloughrey lodge hotel a few days before Xmas so opted to stay on afterwards, and we were so pleased we did ! Fantastic house from the moment you step into it. We were greeted by Mary with the keys and we're led into a very toasty house , with everything a home away from home should be. There was even a Christmas tree up for my two children for Santa to leave the presents. The kids had everything in the playroom to keep them entertained as the weather wasn't the best. even their granny had a shot at the pool table. The comfortable rooms were such a pleasure with 2 of them having open fireplaces. We ventured into Cong to a few times to meet with the friendly locals and had some food in Ryan's ( Crowes Nest ). From start to finish of our stay in Springmount House we ( 5 adults & 2 children under 10 ) had a truly magical Christmas , and hope to return again.

“Beautiful and relaxing setting” June and her family were wonderful to rent this vacation rental (holiday house if you are from across the Pond) Very easy to rent and they were a joy to deal with. They really went above and beyond. The only downside is on my part, I wish I would have arranged more time to spend and explore, explore the gardens, the Wicklow Mountains, several of the walks June recommends. We were only able to do one, the trail to the Miners Village on the Upper Lake. The house was adorable and kitchen was very nicely stocked. I would definitely recommend this house and would absolutely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

“Lovely home in Kenmare” We had a lovely stay at Sheen Woods during our staycation 2020! Rosarie and Mary were there to greet us on arrival, gave us an overview of the well appointed home and suggestions of many things we could do in the area. The house was clean, comfortable and contained everything we needed for a family of 5. It is a short 15 minute walk into the lovely town of Kenmare, but set in a lovely, quiet picturesque setting - we spotted baby deer grazing in the shared back garden on a couple of occasions! The Beara peninsula is spectacular when the sun breaks through the clouds. We hiked Gleninchaquin Park over the lovely waterfall, took the rustic cable car over to Dursey Island to see breathtaking views over the southwest coastline, rented bikes in Killarney National Park and ate the most delicious mussels in Killmackilloge. Kenmare is a haven for great food - we had fantastic meals at Mulcahy's, The Boathouse at Dromquinna Manor, The Horseshoe and the kids loved the brick oven pizza at Shutters on the Pier - but its essential to make a reservation in advance everywhere at the moment. It is definitely a place we will be happy to return to again and again.

“Really lovely modern and comfortable house within walking distance of Downings seaside, golf and pubs.” This house is really lovely. Modern, comfortable and spacious, it comfortably slept 8 for us. Beautiful beach is a short walk away and great scenic walks around Atlantic Drive. The pubs & restaurants in Downings village are a short walk away and great craic. Rossapenna golf facility is less than 5 minutes drive with a number of other good courses not too far away. I would recommend this very highly for families or groups.
