“Fantastic location to explore Erris” We stayed at island view house in early June and the weather was lovely, helping to make the gorgeous views from the house look like something from a brochure. The house itself had everything you could think of and more. Paul we would like you to thank your mum, dad and aunt rose for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely try to book island view house again when we return to Belmullet
“Great Christmas Retreat” Couldn't recommend Springmount. House enough at anytime of the year. We booked the house for Xmas week as we were attending a nephews wedding in lisloughrey lodge hotel a few days before Xmas so opted to stay on afterwards, and we were so pleased we did ! Fantastic house from the moment you step into it. We were greeted by Mary with the keys and we're led into a very toasty house , with everything a home away from home should be. There was even a Christmas tree up for my two children for Santa to leave the presents. The kids had everything in the playroom to keep them entertained as the weather wasn't the best. even their granny had a shot at the pool table. The comfortable rooms were such a pleasure with 2 of them having open fireplaces. We ventured into Cong to a few times to meet with the friendly locals and had some food in Ryan's ( Crowes Nest ). From start to finish of our stay in Springmount House we ( 5 adults & 2 children under 10 ) had a truly magical Christmas , and hope to return again.
“loverly house, wonderfull surrounding, a very friendly owner” we stayed for 1 week at this very spacious house.
well maintained with all necessary appliances to make it also a comfortable stay.
also recommended is to visit the Burren (take the farmers trail and get yourself some goat cheese), Connemara, Galway and do get yourself a drink at the owners pub :-)
The owner is very friendly and cooperative with any question you might have.
All the Irish people we met were very friendly btw.
If you want to dine out we also might suggest to go to the Chinese restaurant in Portumna and for a quick bite go to the half barrel pub in Whitegate.
We can strongly recommend this house to anyone.
for Internet access also go to the owners pub as this is not available at the house itself.
(unless you have mobile access)
“Absolutely fantastic” We had an absolutely fabulous time. It was extremely relaxing and the scenery in the surrounding countryside is inspiring. The nearby restaurant served wonderful food and gave us a hearty welcome.
“Truly special place to stay” We stayed at Tom & Cathy's house for a week. The house is truly lovely with amazing views out to the sea. The house has everything you need and with just a short walk to a secluded beach what more can you ask for. An ideal place for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful of the west coast. We had dramatic sunset's and storms and very for budding photographers as the scene changes constantly. A car is needed to reach larger shops but with a pub down the road with a small shop attached to it you don't really need to venture too far. There are plenty of things to do if you wanted to venture out with Achill Island an hour away, plenty of watersports to a Neolithic site about half an hour. Final word, sanctuary.
“Knockatina was comfortable and spotless with everything we needed for a comfortable stay in Co. Kerry” Knockatina is a lovely, modern house with everything we needed to be comfortable. The O'Sheas gave us a warm welcome and a lovely send-off inviting us for lovely Irish coffees before leaving. The location was perfect, just off the Ring of Kerry road, yet in a quiet cul-de-sac that very tranquil. With the beauty of Co. Kerry all around us we found ourselves relaxing and enjoying everything. We would recommend this house to a friend without hesitating.
“Top quality, very comfortable house in excellent location.” My husband and I and our 3 children had a fantastic week's holiday in this beautifully decorated and very comfortable house in Kenmare. The house is spacious and luxurious with very comfortable beds and efficient showers. It is well equipped, had everything we needed, was extremely clean and excellent value for money. The views from the house over the golf course to the hills beyond are lovely. It is also in easy walking distance of Kenmare centre and we were spoilt for choice for restaurants offering excellent food. We found lots to do in the area including golf at Kenmare Golf Club, horse riding, kayaking on the Lakes of Killarney and a seal watching boat trip (Seafari). We enjoyed walking to see the magnificent scenery and our 3 sons were particularly impressed with the satellite TV! We would definitely stay here again.
“Ideal house for Lahinch” Our group of 5 spent 3 nights at Klondell House in May 2014. Location is ideal with golf course across the street and 'downtown' Lahinch less than 10 minutes walk. House is well-equipped, clean and spacious. The only issue for our group was the lack of wifi.
