“Lovely homely house from which to explore west and north Clare” Modern but characterful house, spacious, lots of natural light, great views to both Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. If you're looking for a peaceful break to recharge your batteries, Gorse Cottage fits the bill. Two or three pubs close by in Doolin with good food and music as well. Get one of the local guides (we recommend Mary Howard) to show you and explain the Burren. If you're a cyclist, do the coast road to Fanore and Ballyvaughan, it's a lovely ride.

“Mrs” Just spent a wonderful weekend in McEvoys self catering in Kilnaleck Cavan. We were a party of 6 adults and a 2yr old. Everybody was catered for. Excellent facilities. We had great fun in the games room. Would highly recommend this property.

“Amazing weekend” Eight women stayed here for a weekend and we had an amazing time. House was exactly what we wanted. Secluded, peaceful and yet we could still get a taxi into the nearest town where people were very friendly. Pheilm the owner was very helpful and welcoming. Honestly one of the best weekend's we all had and I would highly recommend it even if you aren't there for fishing! We got to watch the Sun rise over the lake and that was beautiful. We will definitely return to this house. This house is perfect for anyone who just wants to get away from it all.

“Truly special place to stay” We stayed at Tom & Cathy's house for a week. The house is truly lovely with amazing views out to the sea. The house has everything you need and with just a short walk to a secluded beach what more can you ask for. An ideal place for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful of the west coast. We had dramatic sunset's and storms and very for budding photographers as the scene changes constantly. A car is needed to reach larger shops but with a pub down the road with a small shop attached to it you don't really need to venture too far. There are plenty of things to do if you wanted to venture out with Achill Island an hour away, plenty of watersports to a Neolithic site about half an hour. Final word, sanctuary.

“Davenport cottage Culdaf Donegal” This is our second stay at Davenport cottage and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere staying on a working farm. The cottage is only 5 minutes drive into the town and views from the cottage looking over culdaf beach are simply amazing. Alan the owner took time out to welcome us along with his three lovely dogs. Would revisit without hesitation.

“Relaxing” We decided to spend our vacation in Co. Kerry in Ireland and we rented a Dan’s house. It was a great choice as the house is spacious, tidy, cozy and warm and the view from the windows is absolutely breathing. We fell in love with this place and with a neighbour’s dog as well. It was a magical and unforgettable time. Thank you Dan for making it happen!

“Sligo Style!” Just spent a wonderful 10 days in Old Farm Cottage with my family and enjoyed both the charm of the cottage and the excellent facilities. The cottage was very clean with lovely comfortable beds and had excellent facilities including WiFi and satellite TV ( and we all loved the electric blankets after our late nights out at the Fleadh). The cottage is full of old world charm with plenty of modern conveniences and wonderful views of countryside and mountains. The cottage owners were a pleasure to deal with and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. Looking forward to next years Fleadh and another stay in Old Farm Cottage.

“Full of character!!!” I stayed here along with my boyfriend for a week, we were giving a warm welcome by the owner and to my delight the fire was buring brightly as we arrived. The house was warm and cosy and very homely with comfortable beds. We enjoyed going for walks along the country roads and even came across a duck pond. The location was ideal, its only 15 minutes from letterkenny. I have already looked into booking a week next year and look forward to the warm hospitality i recieved from John and Barry.

“Considerate hosts and glorious gardens for tranquil relaxation and adventurous play” We visited with extended family aged 2 to 60 something and the holiday provided something for everyone. Michael went out of his way to help our trip planning and to make us feel welcome. There were fresh flowers and a personal letter on arrival, and the cottage is homely and inviting. We had a comfortable stay and made excellent use of the beautiful gardens and fire pit. We were a bit fed up with permanent visitations by the neighbours dog but he was friendly enough and evidently just keen for company. We would certainly recommend this place for family fun or rest and relaxation in a tranquil environment, away from the hurried pace of everyday life, and we'd love to visit again. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

“Idyllic!!” We stayed here at Easter break. Fairytale setting for kids with access to the milking in the evening and space to run around all day. The house itself is so well equipped and warm yet very cosy and full of character. The location is ideal, rural setting yet only a mile outside the bustling town of Skibbereen. I cannot praise archies and the welcome we received at abbey Farm Holiday Homes. Highly recommend a visit!!

“Great Farm Stay - Miller the Farm Dog Completes the Picture” We were blessed with enormously good weather for the time of year and had a superb time exploring most of the neighbouring counties, (clocked over 1100 km in 5 days, counting the drive from Dublin airport and back). The cottage was well stocked with everything one could need to get by for a day or two. The decor & ambience, tastefully done and comfort level very high. We just slipped in into living at the cottage as if at home. Bryan and family were very helpful and provided us with valuable tips for sight-seeing. Miller the farm dog, was by far the hit of locale. He is a darling of a dog. Robust, handsome and trained. We could see why every family had only nice things to write about Miller in the guest book. There are three bedrooms, two wash rooms and a combined kitchen, dining and sitting area. Electric heaters are fitted in every room in addition to a log fire and oil-fired central heating. One basket of logs is provided and it was great fun to fire it up. We set the central heating timer for approximately 9 hours a day. Electricity and oil for the heating was charged as extra and we paid EUR 65 for E & O for the 5 days or an average of EUR 13 per day. Summary: A great holiday.

“Really nice cottage” We did change cottage whilst we where there due to someone booking extra nights in The Haggart, but we did stay in the one next door, and it was a really nice place. Coal fire two bedrooms two bathrooms and a massive open plan dinning/lounge/kitchen area. The grounds of the cottages where really nice and open. We had our little pug puppy and he loved the running around indoors and outdoors. I would really reccommend this cottage to anyone. Its short drives to coastal areas and if you are into seafood there is a great place in Baltimore called The sea front. all in all ten out of ten area and cottage. karl karen and Ziggy

“Fantastic accomodation and Beautiful Views” This peaceful quite location was so relaxing, serene and beautiful. The house was more than we ever expected. The decor, and fine detail to everything was like being home away from home. The house was warm, cozy, had all the ammenties we needed, and was spotlessly clean. Barry was so kind and friendly making us feel at home immediately. Any questions or concerns that we had, he was responsive immediately and catered to our every needs. We would fully recommend this vacation rental for couples and/or families. Great location, close to the town of Ramelton, plus a short drive to Letterkenny, close to all highways if you had any other sigtseeing to do in other countys. We would absolutely love to stay in the house again and would be very disappointed for our next vacation if the house was not available.

“Really lovely modern and comfortable house within walking distance of Downings seaside, golf and pubs.” This house is really lovely. Modern, comfortable and spacious, it comfortably slept 8 for us. Beautiful beach is a short walk away and great scenic walks around Atlantic Drive. The pubs & restaurants in Downings village are a short walk away and great craic. Rossapenna golf facility is less than 5 minutes drive with a number of other good courses not too far away. I would recommend this very highly for families or groups.
