Cyprus apartment or villa with a log fire | Holiday Lettings
“Tranquillity, with Stunning Views” We stayed at this beautiful Villa called “The Retreat” in July 2018, located a few miles south of Polis. The Villa is set reasonably high, affording it sublime 180 degrees views across the southern panorama and looking around in the distance there are farmland parcels and one-off villas. Most of the time, this is coupled with that golden sound track of “silence”. The Villa is well proportioned. Construction, layout, furniture and internal decoration are all well done and more than adequate. There were only the two of us and we used the en-suite bedroom upstairs and spent most of our time outside. Dark wood used internally makes the inside space dark with the shutters closed, but this is a modern villa. The swimming pool is gorgeous and its non-rectangular shape makes it look even nicer. For us, the garden was very important as we wanted to take lots of photographs of animals and biodiversity. There are many fruit trees which add to the overall pleasance of walking around the garden. For those interested in playing games there is table-tennis, pool table, dart boards and table football but the swimming pool and the garden win hands down. There are generous settings of tables, benches and chairs outside and a BBQ. Stone-clad walls and shutters keep the inside just cool enough downstairs but in July, at night, the air conditioning is needed to take edge of the excessive heat upstairs in the bedroom. The swimming pool affords complete privacy and this together with peace and quiet attracted us to this Villa.
A couple of miles straight down the road is Byrons Supermarket which will cater for most needs but for comprehensive food and drinks shopping there is Papantoniu Supermarket in Polis along with a very good fish mongers opposite the pharmacy. Polis is also the closest beach.
If one’s looking for a holiday property that is a perfect “getaway” with all that’s needed to hand, a fabulous swimming pool area, garden, all in total privacy then one need look no further. Simply wonderful.
“Beautiful Villa in the hills overlooking Polis” Rose Garden Villa is situated in the small friendly village of Perisisterona overlooking a valley and the sea with the town of Polis on the coast. It's rural setting made for a quiet and chilled out stay, but not too far from all the amenities you're likely to need in Polis. We found it clean, comfortable and central to many cycle routes in the hills and forest close by which we made use of a lot on mountain bikes we hired locally from Wheelie Cyprus.
John and Angela made us very welcome and are a lovely couple who couldn't do more for us. John was a bit upset we couldn't eat more of his apricots that were literally dropping off the trees daily - we ate tons though!!! There's also a lemon, nectarine and peach tree in the garden. Neighbours friendly and we got a cheery wave from people in the village on the way to the local shop to pick up bread every morning.
The swimming pool is great and was very clean. We had a visitor in the garden during our stay - a chameleon which was funny to watch as it changed colour regularly but didn't always get it quite right - 'Boy George' took up residence in the lemon tree.
The BBQ area was a little oasis and I spend quite a few hours at the end of the garden cooking with a cold beer in my hand in the shade of an olive tree.
I would recommend Rose Garden Villa to anyone who wants a quiet, laid back stay on the western end of Cyprus - we'll be going back..........
“Wow - what a great vacation rental!” We stayed in three separate villas on our Summer vacation to Cyprus this year. All three were in different parts of the island. I think I might regret telling you all just how good this particular rental is. We're a large family of 5, we need space, we need a peaceful location and we want a nice villa that feels like a treat. This villa has it all.
The location is perfect. Polis is the only place to visit in Cyprus now. Its where the locals go for a break and there are relatively few foreign tourists. It has a bunch of good restaurants, some perfect beaches and the locals are really friendly too. This villa is located a 15 minute drive from polis, nestled in the beautiful mountains with views to the sea that are perfect. Its utterly peaceful but yet close enough to civilisation when you need it.
The villa itself has a great layout. There are three good sized bedrooms, with ac for the evening, and plenty of outside living space to enjoy too. The upstairs patio is a great place to see the sun go down each evening. The pool is great, well sized and well maintained. We really could not fault the villa at all.
We enjoyed our vacation in Cyprus but, until we stayed here, had thought we might not go back. The Lost Castle changed our minds for us. We would definitely go back.
“This is a wonderful villa” This is a wonderful villa set in a lovely Cypriot village just out of the tourist area but close enough to the tourist area using the car. Only a short trip but because you have the car we tried different beaches, Konnis Bay our favourite, we also used some of the hotel pools and loungers. The beaches are wonderful though didn't travel that far to sit by a pool. The neighbours are lovely and nothing seemed too much trouble. The car gave us the bonus as we always hire a car on holiday so a free one was brilliant. The village has everything; bakery's to die for, a supermarket and sadly you can buy British newspapers from the kiosk, restaurants/bars which aren't too expensive. The villa was modern and to a very high standard, with Bosch appliances in the kitchen and 42" TV with dvd's if we had time to watch any. (Just like it says on the tin, or in this case the brochure). There are a couple of play areas yards from the villa and no cars other than the neighbours and the farmers so the children can play outside with no worries. If the villa had a pool that would be a bonus but the car more than made up for it. I would have no problems going again (or recommending it to family and friends) and we are looking to see if we can get back again in the near future.
“A lovely villa - it really made our holiday” My wife and I and our twenty month old son stayed in Villa Diana for one week in mid May 2012. We had a lovely stay and were very impressed with the villa which is modern, well equipped and was spotlessly clean on our arrival.
Villa Diana is a detached premises with three upstairs bedrooms which sleep six. There is also one child’s travel cot in one of the bedrooms. The downstairs is a very spacious open plan living/kitchen area. The villa is fully air conditioned. There is a swimming pool at the front of the building which is cleaned/serviced twice a week. The entire property is surrounded by a secure wall and high lockable front gate making it very safe and secure.
We were particularly impressed with how child friendly it is, with toys, high chair and baby changing equipment provided. There is a secure fence preventing child access from the villa’s front terrace area to the swimming pool.
It is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach (Malama) From this beach there is a coastal path running north for about 1 km to Fireman’s beach. The main street of Kapparis is only a couple of minutes walk away and contains several good restaurants and pubs.
If you are considering a holiday to Cyprus, I would whole heartedly recommend Villa Diana. Staying there really did make our holiday and we plan to return in the near future

“Beautiful immaculate villa lovely gardens & great pool with stunning views” The villa is really clean and very nicely furnished. The garden is very attractive and the pool really inviting. The views from the villa and the pool are stunning in the daytime seeing the surrounding valley and fields and trees and it was lovely to see the lights of Peyia during the dark. Unfortunately we had cool weather for a few days and this meant the pool was a bit chilly to use but as the weather warmed up it soon became a lovely pool to swim in.
A car is really advisable but we didnt want to drive on this visit to cyprus so we used the recommended taxi firm and they were great. We had to call the maintenance company a couple of times and they were very pleasant and attentive to our queries.
There are some good supermarkets and bakeries within about 10 mins drive but nothing in walking distance.
Coral bay has had some improvements made and was much more pleasant than last year.
“Amazing villa in a stunning location” We absolutely loved this villa. It was well equipped and everything had been thought of. The swimming pool was stunning and the hot tub was a great addition.
As we had been to Cyprus before we didn't hire a car as we wanted a relaxing get away from it all holiday. This is the ideal place for that. We walked into Peyia village in around 15 mins where there are ample bars and restaurants. Our favourite was the Mediterranean, which opened at lunch as well as for evening meals, you must try the dancing potatoes!! We also enjoyed the Greek night at the Savvas Grill and the Peyia Tavern where the waiter is the menu! We even walked into Coral Bay one night, which took a while....... it is a more upbeat touristy area but there are some good cocktail bars, restaurants and music.
If you are on foot you can go into the Phillipos Supermarket in either Peyia or Coral Bay and if you spend 30 euro they will deliver you and your shopping back to your villa free of charge.
We had a great stay at the villa and would definitely return. Thanks for having us.
“Idyllic” My wife and I have just returned from a stay at Capers. It was exactly as described by previous reviewers and by the owners.Everything was first class. The location, the layout of the villa, the decor, the facilities, the garden and the swimming pool.
The villa is located a 5 minute drive outside Latchi in a discrete development. It was very peaceful during our stay. There is a marvellous view from the garden towards Latchi and the distant hills and a view to Neo Chorio on the other hillside.these views are across open fields with trees.
There were sea views from the upper storey bedrooms combined with views over the well tended garden and excellent pool, both maintained to a high standard,as well as the views previously described.
The villa is well appointed and has every utensil and facility you would require for a holiday stay
The location is excellent if you want to chill out and yet near enough to Latchi with its lovely harbour and excellent restaurants and bars.It is just the right mix.Not too commercialised and retaining it's Greek flavour
A short trip to Aphrodite's Baths is worth the short drive. to enjoy a coffee or beer and enjoy the panorama.
This was one of the best holidays we have had superb location, lovely well equipped villa and warm November sun.
The description on the website is 100% accurate and Fiona is very helpful and friendly.
“Home from Home (only better!!)” Absolutely fabulous villa and pool with wonderful views across the hillside to the sea. The facilities were first class and we had arranged for the WiFi broadband to be available for our stay allowing us to check out any last minute activities and book restaurants as required. We booked the taxi option from Larnaca, it was a modern Merc, and the journey took approximately 1 hour 15 minutes door to door. We also booked car hire with the villa booking as this was both convenient and competitively priced.
The Villa was immaculate and the pool spotless. Driving in Northern Cyprus can be interesting to say the least but as there are relatively few cars about, except for the larger cities, it wasn't a problem. All in all a superb Villa in a stunning location and all mod cons as well.
