It is located between Ambleside and Bowness-on-Windermere and only a few minutes walk from the waters edge and the shores of Lake Windermere, making it one of best situated lodges in the Lake District.

Our Lodge is maintained to very high standards and professionally cleaned with HEPA filters to ensure all our guests, including those who may have pet allergies have a comfortable stay. It has a large spacious living room, with two sofas, coffee table, gas fire and 32" LCD TV. Dining area for 6 with electric panel heating throughout. Well equipped kitchen including fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and full size gas cooker and hob.

One double bedroom, and two twin bedrooms; one of which is themed on Beatrix Potter and is better suited for children or younger teenagers. Our Lodge also has a lovely sun catching balcony, which is partially covered (just in case it rains), with a table and plenty of outside seating. 5/5

"Peaceful, Comfortable, clean and well equipped lodge in very good location."

Wonderful place to stay and would love to go again. The onsite restaurant was closed for 2 nights for private functions but when we did go, the food offered was basic so take own provisions. Pool access is £30 per family per stay, possibly a bit expensive for just a weekend. Definitely worth a visit is Brockhole, 5 minutes walk down the road, offering good facilities for all the family and not overly expensive. We had a lovely meal on the terrace overlooking the lake, adventure play ground and lots of space for children, beautiful gardens. Very central for Windermere and Ambleside. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
