“Highly recommended” The cottage was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. It far exceeded my expectations and the extra touches of a bottle of wine, milk etc. was much appreciated. It was far enough from Bridlington to be quiet but close enough to be handy. We had a toddler in out party so the safety gate and night light was welcome. I really can’t find any faults with the property or the location and hope to return

“Very pleasant stay” What a wonderfull place to stay with the family! It is clean and high comfort. We loved the fireplace and the kitchen. The beds were excellent except the sofa-bed in the livingroom for the two extra guests. This one should definetely be replaced by the owner.

“'Fantastic'” We have just returned from a fabulous stay at this fantastic lodge , it had everything you needed and is situated in a peaceful position on a great site , I was amazed at how spotless clean it was and the owners are more than happy to meet and greet you at their lodge. We were very lucky to have amazing weather and clear nights for our stargazing on the deck , the lodge is excellently situated for this due to the outlook from where it's positioned. Thanks again for our brilliant 4 night break , we would love to return sometime.

“Cosy cottage with beautiful views” Beck View Cottage is up the hill on the edge of Glenridding, the views are gorgeous and there's plenty to do on the doorstep. The cottage itself is cosy and had everything we needed, the main bedroom and loft bedroom are spacious, the single is small but was fine for our 15 yr old daughter. Beds were all comfortable and we slept well, and the decor is in keeping with the cottage. It takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the village, a bit longer back as it's uphill. Days out: We got the shuttle boat to Aira Force (waterfall) and walked back (about 2.5 ish miles) One morning I ran there and back from the cottage, it was a very pleasant lakeside (in places) flattish run. We brought our bikes with us, we drove to Keswick with them and cycled along the cycle path to Threlkeld, however, due to a closed bridge early on the path we had to divert and do a few hills which didn't go down too well with the younger members of the family! Unless you are into serious mountain biking or don't mind lots of hills, there isn't really anywhere nearby to cycle. We took Kayaks and canoes out on the lake from the Glenridding Sailing Centre which was fun, the guys at the centre were great. From the cottage we walked a circular walk up towards Hellvellyn past the Youth Hostel and back down the other side of the valley, gorgeous views and a chance to see the cottage from the other side of the valley. We stopped in the village at Hellvellyn kitchen cafe, good food (we had paninis) and reasonably priced. We went to Bowness on Windermere, a nice little town for a potter round the shops, quite touristy and fairly busy. We took the steam train from Haverthwaite to Lakeside and then the boat across Windereme to Ambleside and back. We had a meal one evening in Fellbites cafe, opposite the tourist information, very nice food and a cosy restaurant. We didn't eat in the Travellers Rest pub which is just down the hill a short way from the cottage as it was always busy and didn't seem to have a booking system for tables. When we had been out walking/cycling etc during the day it was nice to come back to the cottage and relax, we played lots of Cluedo! The children enjoyed watching some of the great selection of DVD's We loved our stay at Beck View Cottage, and our first time in the Lake District, we were lucky with the weather, only a couple of days rain. Communication with Cecilia was excellent and directions, parking etc was all easy to follow.

“Mrs” Stayed for weekend break with my husband and another couple all in our 50's and we're really impressed with this apartment. It was done out to an excellent standard spotlessly clean warm and comfortable in every way. It's in really easy walking distance of the town. Beautiful views of the coast from windows. We have stayed in some lovely apartments in the UK and abroad but this one was the best equipped we have ever been in, lots of crockery and cooking equipment just everything we needed. We highly recommend Apart Met. Thank you to the owner Stuart. Susan and Paul Flint
