Gorgeous location and views, and lots to do in the area. Take a few tiny steps to the tub or stride directly from your door onto some of the most beautiful country walks in Wales. Local country pub just a few hundred metres walk across the fields, proud of its reputation for generous meals and friendly atmosphere. Then come home to sit around the firepit under our starry skies (marshmallows for toasting sound fun?). We send guests our information booklet which includes the best local restaurants, fun things to do, special sights only locals know about, and even the gorgeous beach dedicated to St Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers - voted by Conde Nast as one of the best beaches in Britain!

Or do nothing at all except enjoy the country freshness, laze in the courtyard or watch a movie (eclectic collection of movies provided... or bring your own favourites!).

Feels a world away, but located only 30min from Chester, an hours drive from Manchester/Liverpool, Huddersfield 90min, 2.5 hours by train from London.

Please Note: if you book The Hideaway, the accommodation above will NOT be occupied and you will have exclusive use of all the facilities!

“Honeymoon break”

Reviewed 12 Apr 2017

Getting married in Feb we decided to book a UK stay as we have a baby and wanted to avoid any long haul flights, we booked this accommodation and we couldn't have done better! Lovely, well maintained and well provisioned property, with charming hosts who were incredibly helpful. The view out over the valleys is stunning and the hot tub was a perfect place to unwind after a busy day. The location itself is perfect, halfway between Chester (And the nearby shopping outlet!) and we also ventured down to Conwy and Llandudno which are both charming little places. Plenty to do and see nearby and we are already thinking of coming back for another visit, and have recommended it to several of our family!

“Relaxing rural Welsh paradise”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2017

My husband and I enjoyed a 4 night stay at The Creamery/The Hideaway. The Hideaway was cosy and ideal for a romantic stay with the luxurious hot tub just outside. Thomas and his wife go to a lot of trouble welcoming you with homemade bread and ambient lighting. The Hideaway is well equipped with a king sized bed, a large shower room and kitchenette, perfect for your needs, even a small dishwasher! Who wants to wash up on holiday?! A short cross-field walk to the pub, was good fun and we came back fed and watered by locals. The hospitality, facilities and surrounding area was so brilliant, we will certainly be back!

Owner's reply: We're so glad The Hideaway ticked all the boxes for your mini break, our new hot tub is wonderfully popular and just the thing after that strenuous walk back from the pub! See you again soon, Thomas & Amanda

“Perfect getaway”

Reviewed 1 Nov 2016

We absolutely loved staying at the hideaway. The owners had made loads of effort to make our stay wonderful. With treats layed out when we arrived and homemade bread and jam left in the kitchen. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing place to stay - the hideaway is clean and modern but definitely has a quaint countryside feel with wonderful views and surroundings. The hot tub was an awesome way to unwind after the lovely walk the owner had advised us on. No bad word to say.

Owner's reply: We're very happy to hear you loved staying at the Hideaway....we wanted to create a special place for couples who feel like treating themselves to a little bit of luxury, or as my Nan used to say - 'A little bit of what you fancy does you good' ! All the best
