2.5 km from the small town of Sao Bras de Alportel we have created a home away from the tourist scene . Our beautifully furnished , renovated from the ground up and developed farmhouse is idyllically surrounded by olive, almond and carob trees. On our well mantained land, a swimming pool is ideal for swimming and refreshing . And the view of the wonderfull horizon, across hills and valleysis is so soothingly.
For holiday guests we have in our house a cozy holiday home, which is cool in the hot season and in winter snug and warm .
The chalet has a spacious living room with integrated dining area , a fully equipped kitchen with an adjoining covered balcony.

The Eastern Algarve region is characterized by a quiet tourism. You can see the original lands and towns such as villages that invite you to exciting excursions. The coast are offshore islands and the lagoons are partially protected. The islands invite broad and seemingly endless sandy beaches with fine white sand for sunbathing, swimming and walking. You can reach one or the other island by ferry (back and forward about 1.50 ) . or either by car, by a small tourist train or by if wanted by foot. The lagoon area extends from the west to Quarteira , from where they find beaches with sandstone rocks. The east area extends just before the Spanish border , Our house invites to an excursion to the neighboring country, because of its proximity Seville can be reached absolutely worth seeing and under 2 hours by car.
Casa Planalto is located 20 minutes drive from the Ilha de Faro, here you can find a mile-long beautiful wide sandy beach with inviting cafes. In summer and winter we love to spend a nice day at the beach of " Pedras del Rei" near Tavira. Here you will find fine white sand, where the beach are miles long . In the lagoon, Pedras del Rei , a historic property has been tastefully restored and offers cafes and restaurants. You can reach the lagoon on an idyllic path through an enchanting lagoon landscape on foot or take the historic tourist train .
As I said, Tavira is very close to this beach and a popular town , which is considered one of the most beautiful in the Algarve - many artists have settled here .
The public transport in rural areas are in place, depending on the region , the buses run only twice a day . Therefore, we recommend that guests hire a car.
