Domus Eleon Luxury Villa is a delightful property located on a hillside in the area of Kastellakia, overlooking the historic town of Rethymno, a mere 5kms drive, with its winding alleyways, harbourside restaurants and bars, ancient fortress and sights. Located in a peaceful area, Domus Eleon is the ideal spot for those who want a relaxing holiday with total privacy and generous space while still being just a few minutes drive from Rethymno and its long sandy beach on Crete’s picturesque north coast.
Layout
Domus Eleon Luxury Villa boasts an impressive design, spacious areas, amazing internal spaces, and sophisticated decoration. An attractive combination of natural stone and white render, the striking, cubist-style architecture of the villa lends itself beautifully to its outdoor seating areas, with patios offering shade or sun, a cooling breeze or a sheltered spot, matching your every mood. Domus Luxury Eleon Villa covers 440 m2, split across 3 levels and can accommodate 8 guests in its 4 bedrooms.
Ground Floor
Entering the villa on the ground floor, guests find themselves in the large open plan living room with a 55’’ Smart TV, contemporary fireplace and stunning vaulted ceiling with high level windows. The chic yet comfortable furnishings and quality decor create a refined ambiance and welcoming space. The space includes substantial sofa seating, a dining table for 6 guests, and is filled with light which enters through four sets of French doors that open onto a long veranda. Just off the lounge is a study area, playfully equipped with a brightly painted desk and chair, a bookcase and board games. It provides the perfect place to reply to some emails during your stay with a beautiful view to the garden and terrace. A WC is also ideally located within the communal space. Just off of the lounge, you find the fully equipped kitchen and casual dining area for 4. The kitchen opens directly onto the outdoor dining area. With seating for 8 people, it is the ideal spot to enjoy a relaxing meal, while taking in the amazing views.
First Floor
The staircase linking the three floors is lit from above by a large skylight and boasts a striking glass balustrade. Upstairs are three of the four bedrooms, including the master bedroom, with a king-size bed (1,60X2,00), en-suite bathroom with bathtub and a private balcony with patio furniture and views towards the mountains and out to sea. The other two bedrooms feature 2 single beds (0,90X2,00) each, with one of the bedrooms providing the possibility of joining the single beds together to form a queen size bed (1,80X2,00). These two bedrooms share a spacious balcony boasting views of the area and a family bathroom with shower cabin located just steps away from each. All bedrooms are air conditioned, have a 27’’ TV, vanity and wardrobe. A utility room with a washing machine is also located on the first floor.
Lower Floor
With a football table, Playstation 4 and 42‘’ satellite TV to keep you entertained in the open plan play area on the lower floor, you may find it hard to find a reason to leave the villa. There is also a ping pong table located outside the playroom on the covered patio. The fourth bedroom with a king-size bed (1,60X2,00) and access to the garden is also located on this level along with a second kitchen with dining table for 6. Last but not least, guests have access to a spacious bathroom with double sinks and bathtub.
Outdoor Area
Occupying a substantial 5 acre plot, the outside space at Domus Eleon will grant you absolute privacy and plenty of room for relaxation, offering several facilities.
- Enjoy the sun by the 54 m2 private heated swimming pool (1,20-1,85 m deep), flanked by an elegantly tiled spacious sun terrace. From here, the views along the coastline and out to the sapphire blue sea are just wonderful, not least when the light begins to fade and the sky turns on its breath-taking orange glow. The pool can also be heated for the entire stay with an additional daily charge upon advance request. The pool area is equipped with 8 sun loungers, a hammock, 4 umbrellas, as well as an outdoor bathroom.
- Lush, beautifully landscaped gardens with lawn, citrus trees, and flowers fill the outdoor area of the villa. A path leads through wildflowers towards a vast olive grove, an ideal space for kids to run around and have fun and adults to stretch their legs.
- The fully equipped charcoal BBQ with outdoor sink will give you the chance to experience al fresco dining with your loved ones, against the backdrop of a dreamy sunset. A gas BBQ is also available.
