“Fabulous villa, great service, gorgeous location” This is a fabulous villa and the family who run it provide great service. We have stayed here 3 times and always found it immaculately clean. The villa has everything you could want for your holiday including a lovely pool and poolside area. There are wonderful views down to the sea and to the mountains from the poolside and the first floor terrace. It feels very secluded but is only a few minutes drive to the local shops. 5 minutes more in the car gets you to Rethimnon with its lovely Venetian port and old town. Things we like about this villa...everything!

“A wonderful place to stay with the opportunity to meet a Cretan family who are so generous and hospitable” We have been staying at Villa Aphroditi every year since 2003. Returning is like coming to a second home with the chance to meet the Sofoulaki family again. Their generosity and hospitality over the years has been outstanding such that we have come to feel part of an extended family. Dimetri and Roula are such excellence hosts as are their children Stella and George, both of whom we have seen get married and now who have children of their own. This villa is in a really private location yet only 5 minutes from the local village of Prines where Dimetri and Roula live. The villa is spacious, extremely well appointed and surrounded by extensive grounds which include a large freestanding BBQ and separate Pizza oven.There is also a table tennis table and of course a wonderful swimming pool where the water is often still so warm even late at night. This year has seen all new loungers and parasols and Dimetri will come every day at sunrise to clean the pool and surrounding area while Roula will clean and change bedding and towels twice in a week. I should also mention the local taverna in Prines where Yannis will serve up some food with great service. If you have never been to this villa and met this family i would recommend the experience to you without reservation!!

“Memories are made here” Highly recommended, wonderful generosity from the family owners, nothing was too much trouble. The villa is very comfortable and the pool is great, everything was provided to help make our stay memorable. The villa is inland in a tiny quiet village, only 15 minutes drive from the beaches, resorts and very close to great shops and supermarkets. We had a wonderful stay and would certainly return again. Car rental is a must but easy to arrange with the family's help if required.
