“Pristine villa in idyllic location” We stayed at Artemis villa with teenage children and a 4 year old. The villa is immaculately kept in a quiet location with beautiful views and lots of space. The whole family thought the villa was fantastic and we were all content with what the villa had to offer, such as the pool, gym and space. We were able to walk easily into the village in the evening and the local taverna was also very good. You absolutely need a car to stay here if you plan to go any further than the village. The internet connection fluctuated throughout our stay and that was our single (minor) issue. It may well have been a short term problem however. The family are incredibly welcoming and we felt well looked after and enjoyed the luxury of staying here.

Gorgeous stylish villa in a terrific location

My husband and I planned a surprise trip for my parents and sister to Plakias, a town we’d visited as family over 20 years ago. We picked villa smili as it looked to be in a great location, had a lovely decor and a little pool! Our high expectations were more than met, we were greeted by the owner and some lovely local delicacies on our first day. The villa is absolutely spotless and designed beautifully - facing out to the sea for a fab sunset view. It’s literally a few mins walk to the beach. The owners had thoughtfully put together a tablet with local info, covid resources and all the villa requirements and were also on hand to answer questions. From making the initial booking and corresponding with Kostas the whole booking process was every easy, especially when we had to delay the holiday for 2 years due to covid. Kostas was very supportive and was extremely responsive to any questions throughout the whole 2 year process and would recommend his services to everyone. Arrived at airport and picked up by a taxi organise by Kostas and what a taxi beautiful inside and every clean, the 1 hour journey went very fast due to wonderful landscape. When we arrived at the villa what can I say, what an amazing place, they always say location location but this ticked all the boxes, supermarket next door and beach approximately 1.5 miles from the village. We arrived at 4pm and met Andreas who shown me around the villa, to explain where everything was located and even sorted out my hire car and had this delivered to the villa. Every time I texted him he responded within minutes with excellent information on the area including places to visit and the best shopping and butchers in the area. I cannot express in words the beautiful vista from the pool area even a photograph could not do it justice you need to stay there to understand what I am saying. There were 6 adults and two very energetic 4 year olds in the villa and there was so much room for everyone to do their own thing, everyone really enjoyed the outside area including the pool which was exceptionally clean and we paid extra for it to be heated for the two week break, this I would recommend as it made our swimming that more pleasurable. Over the two week break the villa was cleaned 4 times and when I say cleaned I mean cleaned, all clean bed linen all areas of villa cleaned swept and moped it took them a good 4 hours each visit, and when we arrived back at the villa Andreas had left us a little gift of home made cakes and sweets, and our final leaving gift was freshly made olive oil and rosemary which was really thoughtful. When visors leave these comments the main comment would they go back, and for us it would be a resounding YES we will definitely go back. So all I can say is check out the villa on the internet and book it right now, you will love it as much as we did. … see more

Mesa Riza is the perfect place to stay. It is beautifully situated in the mountains of south Crete just 2km from the coastal village of Agia Galini. It offers peace and quiet, spotlessly clean well equipped apartments, a lovely pool and pool area and is ideally placed to explore this part of Crete...old historic sites, the stunning unspoilt beaches, gorgeous Greek food in the many tavernas, the busy towns and ports, the gorges and mountain walks...the area has something for everyone. From incredible sunset view. Incredible villa. Plenty of quality activities for children. First class pool. Attentive and superb owner. Leaving gifts and showing genuine interest in my family. The property was stunning Brilliant location sited in a wilderness of olive trees . The yelps of delight from the children in our party on seeing the pool on arrival lead to a VERY late night. I can't recommend this experience highly enough. The only disappointment for me was not visiting the shop run by the owner and his mother. … see more

Beautiful spacious villa

We are coming to the end of a twelve night stay at Villa Aleva. Wow, what a beautiful villa, spacious, clean and a superb pool area, where, much of our holiday was spent. What was particularly impressive about our stay was the wonderful hospitality by our hosts Rula and Velizarius. They were on hand if we needed anything and were wonderful in helping me when I lost my bag and phone a massive thank you. Rula cleaned the villa twice during our stay. I have rented lots of villas and this hasn't been the norm, so a massive bonus. We would definitely recommend this beautiful villa. We were a party of 10 people and there was plenty of space to be together and privacy when we wanted it. For future visitors I would recommend the following restaurants: Mambo, near the second beach Mythos near the third beach at the harbour Baboo for a drink at the first beach, nearest the villa Nostos for food and drink, at the first beach The two restaurants next to Nostos for beer and cocktails (apologies forgotten their names) In terms of Bali itself. Bali is beautiful with four beaches and lots of bars and restaurants but is a twenty minute walk from the villa, the walk back can be a bit much in the heat. My recommendation would be to hire a car for a few days to get your supplies. I really wanted to shop locally but found after spending alot of money in the supermarket you may want a trip to lidle a few miles away. There is a little train that runs every hour at half past, the last train nearest to the villa is at 9:30pm. It costs 5 euros return but be warned you can not hop on and off and you must use your return on the same day. We do alot of walking on holiday but found it best to do the walk in the morning and evening. The villa and Bali has a 'Mama Mia' feeling to it set in beautiful surroundings with wonderful hosts. Excellent in everyway

We have just come back from the most fabulous 2 weeks at Basilico Sofia Luxury Villa. What can we say, an absolute awesome modern clean villa that was perfect in every way. Location, cleanliness, style, privacy, views (0ur morning one attached) and pool just stunning. Lovely owners attentive but not intrusive. All the touches there from welcome, help with taxis, knowledge and for us even a birthday cake for our son. The villa is in a good location a stroll to the beach with a lovely beach bar and Panamoro village is so nice and chilled for evening drinks and great food so many excellent tavernas to choose from.
