“We loved it.” Great place to stay. Really central but quiet too. Loved the view from the balcony, the fact that we could walk to an amazing selection of restaurants and shops and just pop across to the harbour for a quick swim. We hired a car locally and went sighseeing in the morning and to the beach on the south coast most afternoons. We were really well looked after and felt we got a tiny taste of Cretan life. Thank you.

“Pristine villa in idyllic location” We stayed at Artemis villa with teenage children and a 4 year old. The villa is immaculately kept in a quiet location with beautiful views and lots of space. The whole family thought the villa was fantastic and we were all content with what the villa had to offer, such as the pool, gym and space. We were able to walk easily into the village in the evening and the local taverna was also very good. You absolutely need a car to stay here if you plan to go any further than the village. The internet connection fluctuated throughout our stay and that was our single (minor) issue. It may well have been a short term problem however. The family are incredibly welcoming and we felt well looked after and enjoyed the luxury of staying here.

“An outstanding villa with wonderful hospitality from Stella and her family” The party consisted of mother and father plus three daughters 16, 22 and 37and we stayed for the first two weeks of July. The accomodation was first class with every conceivable facility inside and out. Each bedroom had it's own terrace plus one other patio leading from the kitchen so everyone had their own space as well as shared. The hospitality from Stella and her family was outstanding with a large mousaka in the fridge on our first night and eggs from the hens every day. The drive up from the village is a bit hairy but you soon get used to that and the villa is well placed for access to the national highway and nearby Rethymnon. We would thoroughly recommend Villa Aphrodite and will certainly be back.
