Beautiful setting on the hillside, with a lovely view and surrounding grounds. There is a secluded swimming area that is maintained and very inviting. You will need a car for the location is set away from the nearest town. I woke up each morning feeling very lucky to be in this location it is very peaceful and quaint , there is plenty of room for a family and guests within this property. I do recommend a short drive to the Episkopi Beach and to take a trip or two on a guided tour from the local tourist company located in the nearest resort town on the road to Rethymno, to other places such as Elafonisi beach and Bolas beach located in other parts of the island. Peaceful Cretian Villa

Well-appointed comfortable home with relaxing terraces and pool. A great place to use as a base from which we (5 "mature" women) would branch out east, west and south for daily trips. As the designated driver, I particularly enjoyed being able to swim after chauffering my friends all day. Maria, the owner, was LOVELY. She provided a warm welcome along with a gorgeous array of fruit that greeted us upon arrival. She was always available by phone or text to answer any questions and was very reactive when a small problem occurred with one of the doors. A GPS is absolutely necessary in order to find the house the FIRST time around as it is quite secluded in the middle of beautiful ancient olive groves. Detached villa with pool Crete
Perfect... the villa, the pool, the view and the owners were all perfect.

We travelled to Crete with our boys aged 16 and 9 for a wedding. The villa gave us a base for our short stay. Despite our flight being delayed the owners Argiro and Nicos meet us just off the main road after midnight and lead us up to the villa ensurering we were settled in. The villa is pleasantly decorated with comfortable beds, lots of outdoor furniture and a reasonably well equipped kitchen. The place was spotless when we arrived and Nicos visited once during our stay to tend to the garden. Our youngest son spent hours in the pool and the wifi kept our older boy connected with the outside world. I enjoyed soaking up the view and the sunshine from the patio in the early mornings. You do lose the sun quite early in the afternoon but that did mean I did not have to worry about my 9 year old getting sunburnt in the pool. The roof terrace caught the sun later than the garden. We walked to the beach one day but took a taxi back as the road is rather steep. This villa is only suitable if you have a car. We will return for a longer holiday. … see more
