“A GREAT PLACE FOR A FAMILY HOLIDAY”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2017

The location of Danefield is ideal. Both Paignton main beach and Goodrington Sands are an easy 20 minute walk away. The property is very large and 6 people don't get on top of one another. The patio is a great sun trap from morning to late afternoon. With an older property like this, there are always going to be small niggles, like a separate toilet and bathroom upstairs, but overall it is perfect. You can even see the smoke from the steam train as it passes under a nearby bridge. As mentioned above, most attractions are walkable but I would mention that the property is up a very steep hill and some people will have trouble with this.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review. So pleased your holiday was a success and you enjoyed your stay at Danefield. I agree, I have always found the house so well placed for beach, park, town and railway station when I want to leave the car at home.

“exellent house, clean and cosy, quiet surroundings”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2016

wonderful 3 bedroom house with big garden, 2 toilets and a bathroom, everything absolutely clean; for Teenagers there i a good working wifi, centre of town with lots of shops 15 min on foot, beautiful beach nearby; this house is ideal for people who like a quiet place to be in a lively town

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. And thank you for your very positive feedback. I am so pleased you had a great holiday in Torbay.

“Comfortable, spacious home within easy reach of beaches and town”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2013

We had a very enjoyable two weeks staying at Danefield. The house is lovely and as it is the owner's own home it is very well equipped and comfortable. It is a very spacious home, and has a light, bright feel. It is a short walk into Paignton and the beaches which was great for our party which ranged in age from 1 to 80. There was a lot to see and do within walking distance, or by public transport and even more if you have a car. Paington is a great place for young children and there is a fair amount to do for free, including a huge play area by the promenade. The owner Hilary goes out of her way to make you feel welcome, and even gave my Mum and Dad a lift to the train station on our departure. A lovely place for a family holiday.
