Description

Tubbs Delight is a self catering 3 bed detached bungalow in the heart of South Devon. Tubbs delight had gas central heating and double glazing. 1 double, 1 Twin and 1 bunk bed room. From the lounge, kitchen and bunk bed room are glorious views of the rolling countryside. The lounge has an open fire for winter nights, and a Smart 3D TV with DVD player. WIFI available throughout the bungalow. The kitchen has an electric double oven, electric hob and fridge. In the utility room/garage is a washing machine, dryer and freezer. Added extras are microwave, toaster and coffee percolator. The dining table in the kitchen seats 8. The bathroom has a bath with shower. Outside there is a pet friendly rear garden and a sunken jacuzzi in decking (available at extra cost) Tubbs delight is "Green" with cavity wall insulation, heat recovery system and solar hot water.

Located in the centre of Malborough village near the market town of Kingsbridge, our bungalow offers the perfect setting for exploring the South Devon beaches, coastal walks and Dartmoor National Park. The bungalow itself is located in Malborough village but 5 mins from Salcombe, making it a perfect setting for outdoor activities including sailing, diving and walking. Come rain or shine there are attractions for all, the children would enjoy Woodlands theme park, historians would love the many National Trust houses, such as Overbecks and Saltram House, and walkers will love the 232 miles of footpaths and coastal paths. There are also several excellent golf courses nearby. The cities of Plymouth and Exeter are within easy reach and are great for shopping and packed with museums, art galleries and other attractions such as the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth.

Beautiful views, lovely accommodation - all very clean and well maintained. Dogs loved their holiday as much as we did and there were thoughtful extras, dog poo bags etc. Very Lovely!

The bungalow is a very spacious home with outstanding views over the country side and is in a convenient position to walk to the nearby service station with a co op. you are not to far away from some lovely beaches and pubs all dog friendly. the furniture and soft furnishings however were extremely tired and the bedspreads were stained.we had taken our own throws for the furniture so it was really not an issue but it stopped me from giving this property a 5 star review.

Owner's reply: So glad to hear your enjoyed the views, location of Tubbs Delight and all the dog friendly beaches and places. I am very disappointed that the bedspreads were stained and have taken this up with my cleaning company to get this rectified immediately. With regard the sofa, it was hand upholstered with faux leather and unfortunately a guest's dog has scratched it very badly since I was there in April and until I have a break in lettings I have been unable to take it to the upholsters to get it repaired. Luckily this is happening next week and so there will be no more tired soft furnishings. I hope you will stay again and see that I take complaints seriously and rectify them as soon as I can. Thanks

Why can't I call Debbie (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Debbie (the owner) a message.

If Debbie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
