Tubbs Delight is a self catering 3 bed detached bungalow in the heart of South Devon. Tubbs delight had gas central heating and double glazing. 1 double, 1 Twin and 1 bunk bed room. From the lounge, kitchen and bunk bed room are glorious views of the rolling countryside. The lounge has an open fire for winter nights, and a Smart 3D TV with DVD player. WIFI available throughout the bungalow. The kitchen has an electric double oven, electric hob and fridge. In the utility room/garage is a washing machine, dryer and freezer. Added extras are microwave, toaster and coffee percolator. The dining table in the kitchen seats 8. The bathroom has a bath with shower. Outside there is a pet friendly rear garden and a sunken jacuzzi in decking (available at extra cost) Tubbs delight is "Green" with cavity wall insulation, heat recovery system and solar hot water.
Located in the centre of Malborough village near the market town of Kingsbridge, our bungalow offers the perfect setting for exploring the South Devon beaches, coastal walks and Dartmoor National Park. The bungalow itself is located in Malborough village but 5 mins from Salcombe, making it a perfect setting for outdoor activities including sailing, diving and walking. Come rain or shine there are attractions for all, the children would enjoy Woodlands theme park, historians would love the many National Trust houses, such as Overbecks and Saltram House, and walkers will love the 232 miles of footpaths and coastal paths. There are also several excellent golf courses nearby. The cities of Plymouth and Exeter are within easy reach and are great for shopping and packed with museums, art galleries and other attractions such as the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth.

“Beautiful out of season get away”
Fantastic bungalow, lovely views and great walks. Being able to take the dogs made a real change. The hot tub was a nice extra. Only down side for me was getting in and out of the drive with the big 4x4 parked opposite. Fantastic beaches near by in every direction and would recommend the Wrinkly Prawn at North Sands. The village pub is quite nice, but Hope Cove has several really good eating places that are reasonably priced. Debbie was helpful throughout the booking process.I couldn't,t fault any of it.Go try you will love it.

I booked Tubb’s Delight when attending a family wedding in the beautiful South Hams of Devon. We were a party of 6 – my wife and I, our son and daughter-in-law, and our two grandchildren aged 7 and 4. Upon arriving at the bungalow we were not to be disappointed, and found it to be utterly charming and every bit as nice as we had hoped. My wife's first comment when entering was "There are loads of hangers and an electrical socket at the dresser! This has definitely a lady's touch." The bungalow had every convenience we desired as a home from home. Then we opened the curtains in the lounge – WOW! The view from the lounge over the decking, as the view from the kitchen, took our breath away. Rolling hills with cattle grazing; tractors ploughing fields; Dartmoor in the distance, and rabbits and deer feeding in the early evening in the field behind. The location of the bungalow was also just right, and SO quiet and peaceful. We grew to love Malborough and the local bus service, and the closeness of two pubs and a Post Office was the icing on the cake. It was a 3 minute flat stroll from Tubb’s Delight to the bus stop at the other end of the village past the Post Office and pubs. The best food and wine was found in the Old Inn, but the best ‘pub’ atmosphere was found at the Royal Oak - IMHO it must be said. The garage at the bus stop also has a very good Co-Op with opening hours 5am to 12 midnight. “Just popping out for milk/coffee/kitchen towels dear.” Was the code for my son and I to pop out for a quick pint. The ladies preferred to sit in the lounge with a glass of wine and be absorbed into the magnificent landscape. I was personally impressed with the solar water heating, where even getting ready for a wedding we didn’t need to fire the boiler. There is also an airflow system in each room with heat recovery. This meant that there was not one cold corner or room needing to be aired. Care needs to be taken with re-cycling though. The South Hams are VERY specific about separation, but plenty of information can be found on the notice board in the garage. Glass is not collected, but a collection point can be found at the village hall near the bus stop. I am from the area originally and used to Devon’s narrow lanes; all of which have thankfully not changed. Therefore the approach lane filled my wife with dread – quite unnecessarily IMHO - but we soon learned to approach via the lower lane, and leave via the lane passing the magnificent church. An unofficial one-way system that the locals appeared to observe too. The paved drive has space for one vehicle, but the low stone walls made opening the car doors somewhat hazardous without care. It didn’t matter though because there was ample safe alternative parking in the Lane. We cannot offer a single negative comment and will heartily recommend the property to our enlarged family when wanting to stay in the South Hams.

Tubbs Delight is an excellent well equipped bungalow,offering a large, safe and secure garden for our 2 dalmatians. The views over the Devonshire countyside are fantastic, especially watching the sunset from the hot tub. Will happily return

“lovely holiday bungalow with amazing views of the countryside!!!”
We have just returned from Tubbs Delight having stayed there for a long weekend. The bungalow was a very good size - there was 6 of us including 4 older teenagers and there was plenty of room. It was very clean and well equipped, I think they have thought of everything!! Our teenage children loved the internal sound system! It was the first time our teenage children had been to South Devon and they absolutely loved it, said it was better than going abroad! They appreciated the views from the rear of the property and loved seeing the sunset from the patio (not something you see very often when living in a built up town). We visited 4 of the local coves and the views from the walk along the cliff tops was amazing. Would highly recommend this property and look forward to going back soon.

“Excellent dog friendly holiday.”
We stayed at Tubbs Delight for a week with our dog. The bungalow was very well appointed with a large, fully enclosed, grass rear garden. The view from the rear of the property was breathtaking as you could see over to Datrmoor. The accommodation was very comfortable with everything we could need for our stay was provided. There were also useful items for our dog. We will definitely stay here again. The position of this property was close to Kingsbridge and Salcombe.

“Great property and excellent value for money!”
Perfect getaway for a relaxing break! The garden was a great size for a BBQ and for the dog to run around in! Well equipped house with all the mod cons, including music system, large TV, washing machine & drier - to name a few. The hot tub was excellent and comfortable for the 5 of us to sit in! For the money I really don't think a better deal is to be had! Recommended!

“Excellent accommodation in South Devon”
Tidy, well finished bungalow within a quiet village. Local amenities such as petrol station, food store etc. Local people friendly and beaches within easy reach. Close to Dartmoor and several walkways (if you're into rambling/walking). Even more important; there are TWO pubs both of which serve food (as well as very good beer, try the Doom beer for ale lovers)! Within short distance of Kings Bridge for those interested in dining out.

“Beautiful countryside location and close to gorgeous bays!”
My husband and I stayed at Tubbs Delight over Valentines weekend with our 2 dogs. The bungalow was cosy with all amenities required for a comfortable stay! The views from the bungalow are breath taking and are even better when sat in the hot tub :) 2 local (dog friendly) pubs that serve food within walking distance. So many walks and beautiful sites to be seen. North and South sands, and Hope bays are something else! I would highly recommend a break away at Tubbs Delight!
