Description

This is a beautiful one bedroom apartment with a spacious lounge & bedroom, fully equipped kitchen. Fully tiled shower/toilet. There is a small balcony with table and 4 chairs. The apartment is on the fourth floor with easy access by lift - so no noise from above.

A perfect holiday retreat! The photos do not do the apartment justice because it is a lot bigger and brighter than you expect.

The apartment also offers English TV, DVD player, CD player, radio and FREE WI FI

In the lounge there is a very comfortable armchair and a three seater sofa.

In the bedroom wardrobe there is a fitted security safe. There is a video entry system at the main door.

Unfortunately this apartment is not suitable for wheelchair users as the lift is not big enough but is ok for pushchairs.

There are beach toys for small children available, not really suitable for older children as there's not enough room for them to play in or out!

Next door to the apartment is a new Municipal leisure centre consisting of an olympic size indoor swimming pool and a childrens pool, fully equipped gym and various other activities, the cost for these is very inexpensive, prices start around 5euros per person.

Love it or hate it, the Algarve is Portugals premier holiday destination, with pretty beaches, brash resorts and picturesque whitewashed towns that flood with foreigners when summer arrives. While the party atmosphere isnt for everyone, the setting is undeniably beautiful: breathtaking cliffs, wide golden sands, natural bays, scalloped beaches and long sandy islands with waves lapping at the shore. Outside the touristy enclaves, there are quiet castle towns, flower-covered hillsides and enchanting stretches of shoreline still untouched by development.Lagos Jazz Festival: A five-day festival with jazz workshops and showcases normally held at the start of April.Feira da Serra: Literally the Festival of the Mountain, this is São Brás de Alportels three-day rural and agricultural fair at the end of July. There are regional food delicacies to taste, arts and crafts, animals on show, music and dancing.Olhão Seafood Festival: All types of fish are sold at this event in mid-August. There is also music and dancing.Festival de Folclore do Algarve: The Folklore Festival of the Algarve attracts dance troupes and musicians from across Portugal for a fortnight of performances and a celebration of Portugals folklore. Events are held in various locations across the Algarve in August or September.Feira de Outubro: On the last Sunday of October, the centre of Monchique is covered with stalls and exhibitions. There are also numerous entertainments for visitors.

Lagos

Lagos has three sandy beaches, one which is the largest on the Algarve. This beach is within 10 minutes slow walk from the apartment, the second one,is also approximately 10 minutes walk and is a favourite with the Portuguese for its picturesque rock formations and crystal clear waters. one, Dona Ana&is featured on many postcards for its spectacular features. However, this beach is reached by either car or the town road train. Beach bars on each.Car hire is recommended for access to golf courses, and visiting local places of interest. However, if your ideal holiday is to relax in the area there are buses which are very cheap, and local taxis.The mountains are well worth a visit and the drive there is beautiful, a chance to see the `unspoilt countryside. The views from the top are really spectacular and there are some lovely villages to visit on the way. The roads to the mountains are nearly always empty and takes only about an hour to reach the top - although its hard not to stop and take in the views on the way!There are two or three golf courses within easy reach by car, all of which are famous all over Europe for their beautifully kept greens and clubhouses, and of course, the excellent weather all year round. The apartment is a perfect base in the winter as well as summer for these courses.
