Drymen is a very picturesque and tranquil village in the Stirling district in central Scotland. Drymen is about 15 miles from Glasgow, and 30 miles from Stirling, and lies to the west of the Campsie Fells some 4 miles from Balmaha and east Loch Lomond. The Queen Elizabeth Forest reaches down to the village edge, and the whole area is part of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park (the first National Park in Scotland). The area is popular with walkers and hikers, cyclists and sightseers. Ben Lomond

Drymen is used as a base for touring as well as an overnight stop for hikers on the West Highland Way, and forms the western end of the Rob Roy Way. There are 2 pubs and two hotels.

Drymen

There are 2 pubs and two hotels, who all provide food, as well and an Italian restaurant, a SPAR convenience store [with cash machine] and post office. The Clachan pub is the oldest pub in Scotland. There is a library with Tourist Information. A Pipe Band plays on the village green every Thursday, during the season.

There are two golf courses within a mile, Buchanan castle and Endrick Golf club. Both accept non-members to play.

The Flat is located off-street, in a peaceful setting, with private parking, in the centre of the village, very close to all amenities. The Clachan and other bars, Spar etc., are within a two-minute walk.
