Getting around

Brixham is easily explored on foot, being only a few minutes away, such that once your car is parked up you won't need it. There are boat trips from the main quay across the Bay to Torquay (about 20 minutes), or round Berry Head to Dartmouth (about 70 minutes). The No 12 bus from the town centre goes round the Bay via Churston, Goodrington and Paignton to Torquay and beyond to Newton Abbott, and runs every 15 minutes. The no 17 bus runs from just near the Cottage to the Town Centre and around Brixham if you need a lift when it is raining. And the No 18 will take you from the Town Centre to Kingswear from where you can take the foot ferry across the River Dart to Dartmouth. To get to Exeter there are half-hourly trains from Paignton.

“Cosy cottage”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2018

Lovely cottage, warm and spotless. Slept like a log as so quiet. Great location for town and Berry head walks. Parking extremely limited this isn't specific to this cottage but and issue in Brixham being a historical fishing village!! You can load and unload ok but parking for us over Easter was about 5-10 mins walk away from the property.

Owner's reply: Really glad you found the Cottage up to 5 star standards as we and our partners work really hard to make the Cottage a home from home. And sure there is some sacrifice on parking for the convenience of being close the everything that matters, that once parked up you don’t really need the car. At least parking is easy and it’s free on our side of the town. Happy for you that you had a nice time in Brixham.

“Rosemary Cottage”

Reviewed 4 Feb 2018

Rosemary Cottage is a well equipped home from home, everything you need is available. I always managed to park the car locally, the furthest away was a five minute walk but mostly withiin a minute. There are some lovely walks available in the locality as well as numerous places to eat even in the winter months. We will keep it in mind for the next time we visit Devon.

Owner's reply: Thank you for the lovely review. Glad you found Rosemary Cottage met your needs. Good you found the parking was easy and should help future guests, and that together with the convenient location makes the Cottage really a great place for a holiday break! Happy to see you again!

“We all loved it...thank you!”

Reviewed 7 Nov 2017

We all had a lovely few days, with the perfect base of Rosemary Cottage! Everything we needed, and perfectly clean...we had busy days with fabulous weather and lazy evenings once our girls were asleep!!! We loved watching the boats, walking up to Berry Head, exploring Dartmouth and eating chips, walking along Slapton Sands with an ice cream...happy days and lots of memories! The clocks went back during our stay, and our 2 little ladies woke at 5am...at 5.50am we were down by the harbour waiting for all the fishing boats to come in!!!!

Owner's reply: Thank you for the lovely feedback and we are so pleased you found the Cottage provided for your needs. Waking up an hour earlier than you expected must have been fun but seeing the fishing fleet coming in will be a memory that your young ladies will remember for ever!
