Description

Situated directly on the South West Coastal Path this beautiful one bedroom chalet has been totally refurbished. Driftwood has 180 degree uninterupted sea views along the South Devon coast, an ideal relaxing getaway for a couple or for walkers and nature lovers in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). There are three beaches at Bovisand which are popular with swimmers , surfers, fishermen and kayakers,one of which is accessed via steps immediately in front of the chalet, the other two are a short walk away.

There is an allocated parking space ( within 50M of the property )however the car park is operated by a third party and a parking fee is payable on site ( £4/day or £25/week 1st April to 30th September and £2/day or £10/week at all other times). Payment may be made by Cash, Card or Phone on arrival. Should you wish to prebook your parking the car park code is 16091 using the RinGo website.

The chalet has an open plan sitting room with solid wooden floors throughout and neutral decor and coastal theme. There is a large flat screen TV, DVD and music player. There is a well equipped handmade pine kitchen with granite worktops and belfast sink. It also includes an electric range oven, microwave and retro fridge freezer. Heating is via electric panel wall heaters.

The double bedroom contains a king size divan bed and looks out onto the rear patio area, with clothes hanging rail and bedside cabinets. A small hallway leads into the bathroom which has a tiled shower enclosure with electric pump shower.

To the front of the property (south west facing) is a large paved patio area with uninterrupted views overlooking the Plymouth breakwater and in the far distance the Cornish villages of Cawsands and Kingsands. Whatever the weather there is always something going on in the waters all year round telescope and binoculars provided. The separate rear patio garden is a sheltered sun trap for the whole day and has a small storage shed containing bistro set and loungers.

Charges are inclusive of electricity and one allocated parking space. Bedding, linen, towels and beach towels are included in the price.

A Delightful cafe and shop 1 minute walk from the Chalet. Plymouth just a short drive away.

Changeover date is flexible - minimum stay 3 Nights

Departure 10am - Arrivals after 3pm.

No smoking or pets in the property.

“Stunning sea views”

The views were stunning... never tired of watching the navel ships, sailing boats etc each day.. chalet very comfortable & cosy with everything you could possibly need during your stay... weather was good also... can't wait to return..

“Perfection”

Well where do you start.... Amazing chalet decorated to a very high standard and containing everything you would buy yourself. Take a good look at the photo's because they don't exaggerate the beautiful views, no wide angle lens or trick photography used here. There are no words to describe the feeling of waking up, pulling open the curtains and just sitting there staring out of the window and watching the movement of the sea together with the activity of the navy and private yaughts. There are many places of interest around all reasonably priced - book this holiday you will not regret it.

“Perfect Retreat for Rest & Relaxation”

We first visited before Easter and have just returned from a second week which really tells you all that you need to know. It will definitely not be our last visit this year. The accommodation is clean, the bed comfortable, the area is quiet and peaceful and everything you need for a relaxing break is available. Wonderful views looking out to sea with lots of activity from the Royal Navy to keep you entertained. We really needed rest and relaxation and are now feeling thoroughly refreshed and reenergised upon our return home. There are two patios so that you can follow the sun from sunrise to sunset if you choose. It's great for walkers with excellent walks from outside the front door. We have been to Devon so many times but never realised that there was this little bit of paradise just outside Plymouth! We really did have a wonderful time. The microclimate enjoyed at Bovisands does contribute enormously to the feeling of well being.

“Absolutely wonderful - could not fault it in any way”

This is a very well equipped holiday home. The décor is beautiful and very tasteful. The kitchen is very modern and well equipped. The location is very good with easy access by boat to Plymouth Barbican. The view is fabulous with ever changing weather conditions and military boat manoeuvres in evidence. Local amenities are excellent. This was a perfect spot and provided a perfect holiday.
