The Algarve region
Warm winters and even warmer summers make this area so desirable. Thanks to its beautiful and uncrowded beaches with clear,un-polluted waters of the Atlantic, the Algarve's West coast has become a true gemstone among holiday destinations. The unspoilt West coast offers majestic panoramas, and is an ideal place for outdoor activities, such as walking, moutainbiking, birdwatching and water sports.
Nearby Aljezur has museums, supermarkets, fresh fish and veg markets, local artisan shops, cafes, restaurants, garages, medical centre, pharmacy, post office, internet cafes, surf shops and magazine shops etc. Also many local festivities are organised (often are free), such as sardine festival, perceives (shell fish) festival and other events.
Lagos is our closest city. It has tourist shops, tourist trips, ie Dolphin watching, sailing, diving, museums, many festivals in the summer, hospitals, pharmacies etc.

"A beautiful cottage in the heart of a stunning Portugese village 5 minutes from the West Coast."
This is a recently refurbished Portugese cottage with tons of charm and characture. It has all the necessary things needed for you to enjoy your holiday (from a BBQ to TV with DVDs to entertain the kids) and the location is perfect. The quaint village is very quiet and the atmosphere almost forces you to relax - the cottage has lovely views across the rooftops and the rolling hills. The owners were a pelasure to deal with and couldn't do enough to ensure we had the perfect holiday, and we did.

"Home in the sun"
We were lucky enough to stay in this newly refurbished cottage in Bordeira just before the Easter break. We were treated to glorious weather and wide open beaches for us to soak up the beauty, pretty much by ourselves. The Cottage is well equipped, clean and comfortable. We were 2 adults with 2 children we were catered for very well. It was great to have new bedding and mattresses to sleep in and watch movies on the new TV. The village was peaceful and welcoming and the local cafe was a real slice of Portuguese culture and life and it was wonderful to observe the locals. All in all we got what we were expecting and it was definately value for money. The village is quiet and this was important to us, we did go to Lagos a few times and were happy enough to drive the 25 minutes to get to a city so we could get a choice of restaurants, however we ate dinner in Aljezur twice in the week and were very happy with price and quality on offer. I wish Anton and Chris success with their renting of their new holiday home. We had a great time so thanks very much guys. Trev and family
