“Paradise!” After spending a week in Positano we decided that we had lucked out by finding the best place to stay, Villa Boscariello. The Villa is perched above most of the tourist mayhem and yet still close enough to the main drag, Via Pasitea, to make restaurants and the grocery store accessible. We had our favorite place where my husband and I would go for coffee in the morning, just a 5 min walk from the house. My teen daughters felt at ease walking to the pizzeria for lunch or going out for gelato. As well we were close enough to the bus stop on top of the town, to catch buses to Amalfi that were not already packed with people. - As for the house itself, we were very comfortable here. The master bedroom has a spectacular view of the water, as does the living room, and the terrace outside the front door. Plenty of room for everyone to have a view without being on top of each other. There are also two bathrooms and two showers, very convenient when traveling with teen girls! The AC worked great, as did the washing machine. All of our beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. - Now, obviously, to have a spectacular view like this you have to go up to get there. This means about 220 stairs from the street level to the villa. Every day we commented on how worth it the stairs were to have the views AND to have the privacy from all the other tourists. If you can climb the Duomo or any bell tower in Italy then you will have no problem at all climbing to this Villa. If you do have problems with climbing then Positano itself may not be a good choice for you, as the entire town is vertical! - One last note, every day we climbed down the 600 some stairs to the little beach directly below the Villa. Peaceful, quiet, and gorgeous water. When we were ready to return to the villa we would walk through the town following the street back to the villa as it made the walk easier and more enjoyable. - Lastly, Giovanni was a great host, answered all of our questions, and the one time we needed him he was at the door in less than two minutes. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for beauty and tranquility in their Positano vacation. We are already dreaming of a return trip back to Villa Boscariella.

Top Positano Travel Tips
The town is small and packed with stairs. If you have difficulties with stairs, you may struggle getting around here. There is a frequent bus that runs up and down the hill – it's not ideal for seeing and doing everything, but it's certainly a help if you're tired!
For a charming Italian getaway surrounded by natural beauty, be sure to book your next holiday rental in Positano.

Rifugio degli Dei - Dioniso
One week in paradise
The owners are very friendly, the location is perfect 1 km distance from Positano.
The apartment is situated on the hill and can be reached only by aprox 250 steps. It is nice decorated in timeless country style. I liked the green Dioniso apartment very much. Every day the room was cleaned and minibar filled with new drinks ( local wines, water).
They serve breakfast on the large terrace and it is possible to enjoy local fruits, homemade cake, italian espresso and stunning view to Positano, Monti Lattari and Mediterranian sea. Never had better place to stay for holiday.
The nearest beach Arienzo is cosy and the best in Positano area. …
Villa Elena is authentically breathtaking! We felt like we stepped back in time!
Staying at Villa Elena made my daughter and I's trip amazing. We felt like we lived there and felt a bit like something you see in a movie. The owner's, Francesco and wife Antonella were so kind. They helped my daughter and I arrange transportation to and from the airport in Naples. The drive is gorgeous, I highly recommend it. Antonella met with us when we arrived. She was so sweet, she helped me carry my huge suitcase filled with heavy shoes and purses down a flight of stairs. She showed us around the villa and showed us how to work everything.
You will feel like you stepped back in time. You can see and feel the history here. I envisioned the family that lived there so many years ago. Villa Elena is located at the top of Positano, which offers the most beautiful views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Every morning my daughter and I woke up to this view from the doors that lead out to the balconies from the bedrooms, and then we would walk down to the bottom level where the kitchen and expansive patio that is home to a beautiful canopy of purple flowers, a lemon tree (Antonella let us pick the ripe lemons) and gorgeous potted plants and flowers, where we would have breakfast while enjoying the view of Positano. Along the edge of the patio are areas, decorated with hand painted ceramic tiles that match a cute little table, where we would sit and have our morning coffee or evening glass of wine.
The Villa Elena is located in a prime area.... just steps down from the Villa is Villa Magia, where we were able to make a dinner reservation. A few more steps down and you find yourself on a main street next to Cafe Positano. Definitely stop there and have Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or just Desert, we did all! The view is amazing and the staff is so friendly... Ask for Eduardo! If you follow the street down you will pass so many beautiful shops and eventually find yourself in the city centre and Spiaggia beach.
I am already planning another trip there in September with some of my family and I will definitely stay here again if it is available. …
Our family of 5 spent a week at Villa Talia in Positano. There was plenty of room and the home had a wonderfull feont porch overlooking the ocean. The home , like many in the area was built about 300 years ago, and while updated, still had sone neat nuances about it, like old doors, and arched ceilings. The location was great, juat a couple of blocks beyond all the crowds, but close enough to be just a nice walk to the beach. Near a cozy grocery store/market that had fresh produce, pasta breads, meats and wine, and made a nice breakfast and capuccino. And located above what we cconsidered the best restaurant in Positano, Da Vincenzo.
Roberto was very freindly and accomodating. He spoke great english and was very responsive if we needed anything.
Perfect spot for family of 5. There are a couple of flights of stairs to get to the house from the street, but it wasn't an issue. In fact if you don't like steps and walking up and downhill, you probably should not come to Positano or Amalfi coast. We would definitely stay hear again! …
Brilliant location with spectacular views
A lovely place with great views over Positano. The owners are great, very helpful and Cooper the dog is always around to welcome you back after a day exploring. The walk down into Positano is quite gentle although we did not attempt the walk back up. The local bus stops just outside the property and the journeys are always entertaining. An excellent base to discover the delights of the Amalfi coast. …
