“Hard to leave such a lovely house and its beautiful surroundings” This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. Everything and I mean everything has been thought of from toasty pockets to seaweed baths to baby toys! There is a great supply of games, books and puzzles for when you are indoors and the house itself is immaculately clean, warm and comfortable. If there is anything you need (which I doubt) the owners live just a stones throw away and are more than happy to help. We stayed for a week with our four month old baby and found it such a lovely peaceful place to be even when the Irish weather was doing its worst outside. Surrounded by fields and cows, just a short walk to the beach along which you can reach the golfclub and within half an hours drive of many pretty towns and villages, not forgetting the cliffs of Moher and lots more besides (information leaflets detailing all the local points of interest can be found in the house). If you're looking for a quiet getaway from which to explore the beautiful unspoilt west coast of county Clare or fancy trying your hand at golfing, surfing, horse riding or just getting out on bicycles (yes these are provided too!) then I don't think you could find better than this. Many thanks to Nuala, Declan, Naimh and Sean.

“Excellent cottage” We had a wonderful 2 night stay in the Barn. It accommodated our family of 5 very well. The beds were very comfortable and 2 bathrooms was a bonus. Everything was very clean and washing machine and drier worked wonderfully. There is a lovely balcony overlooking the fields which if your are lucky with the weather like we were is beautiful to sit with a tea or coffee in the sun in the morning. kitchen was well set up for self catering but we ended up having dinner both nights at Kirby's Korner which was both very good value and superb in terms of quality and flavour. There are lots of little villages near by to explore. We arrived at milking time and Eileen took us up to the dairy so the kids could see how the cows were milked. The kids also really enjoyed collecting eggs and playing soccer/football with the boys. Thank you for a great few days. We wish we had booked longer.

“A perfect place for a Family Holiday near the Beach!” This Holiday Home is a very spacious property not far from Morriscastle Beach. It suited our large group of 6 adults, 4 young children and a dog perfectly. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. We loved the garden with a brilliant play area, and the outdoor BBQ and seating. The Kitchen and large American Fridge Freezer worked perfectly. Very generous space everywhere, two huge reception rooms and a sun room adjacent to kitchen/ dining area. The Study was a welcome space for my husband, who is big into photography and he had a safe space for all his cameras, lenses etc. With young children, having a laundry/ utility room was very welcome, too. Bedrooms are all very comfortable and generally the house is done up in a very pleasant way, not like some holiday homes where owners sometimes "dump" their unwanted stuff. With the village of Kilmuckridge just up the road, our shopping for food etc was very easy. There is a good butcher who does Gluten Free Products! (We had a Coeliac amongst us). Near Morriscastle beach, there is a shop/ cafe/ takeaway, very convenient when hunger strikes whilst spending your day at the fabulous, white sandy beach. Also, with a child with special needs among us, we were very happy to find a Beach Type Buggy with big Balloon Wheels there, provided by Wexford County Council. It made a huge difference to us! All in all - would we come back? Yes! What did we like best? The generous space and play area What could be improved on: very little. The house was a little hard to find. Exact GPS co-ordinates would help. Kitchen: a few kitchen towels would be good and a large pot for pasta. Top up cutlery and glasses. But these are minor details...

“Very nice location” Pros: location (close to fantastic super valu supermkt), parking lot available, ample spaces in the inside, table with nice view in the outside Cons: kitchenware worn out (pans in particular), some items would deserve better cleaning/maintenance Pricing is in the mid/high range (but you have to consider that restaurants etc are priced for tourists so self catering makes a huge difference to your wallet, mainly if you are here with children); a few improvements could give a massive boost to the place.

“It felt like coming home.” We had a lovely, warm welcome from John and Dolores. The home-made bread was delicious and much appreciated on arrival. The turf fire in the sitting room was delightful and made things very cosy in the evenings. The turf was replenished regularly by the turf fairy. The farmhouse is very spacious and coped easily with our party of nine. The food in the local pub, The Travellers' Inn," was fantastic and great value for money, unfortunately they only served food at the weekend, as it was off season. The house is located close to the town but in a quiet and idyllic setting. All in all, a fantastic place to re-charge the batteries and we would all hope to return in the not too distant future. Thank you both for your hospitality.

“Everything you could need for a relaxing vacation!” We have very happy memories of our stay at the Blue School Studio in Clonakilty. I stayed there with my husband and 18 month old son for a week. It was a perfect location for day trips. The owners had thought of everything we could've needed. The studio is beautiful, clean and well organized and the kitchen is perfectly equipped. If we hadn't taken day trips every day, we would've been happy just hanging out in the studio. We would love to visit again and would highly recommend it to anyone.
