“Mrs” Just spent a wonderful weekend in McEvoys self catering in Kilnaleck Cavan. We were a party of 6 adults and a 2yr old. Everybody was catered for. Excellent facilities. We had great fun in the games room. Would highly recommend this property.

“Excellent holiday home!” Brilliant property! It was a lovely surprise to find a welcome card with contact details if needed, tea, coffee, biscuits and wine for our arrival! The house contained everything we needed from washing up liquid & washing powder to well known makes of shower gels, shampoos, conditioners etc. Was large enough for 2 families (including one person with disabilities) with 2 lounges a large kitchen and a games room, a downstairs bedroom & bathroom. The kids loved the games room and the garden and the garage was equipped with bikes, a go kart, dart board, punch bag etc. The house is bright, modern and clean. Although the house is in walking distance of the town we used hire cars to travel and visit the more well known sites & towns. The owners had also left a folder recommending places to visit, eat etc which we found really useful. Would definitely recommend! Lovely house with considerate owners! A thumbs up!

“Beautiful House, Loads of Space for Kiddies, Beautiful Surroundings” Stephen Quinn the owner was very helpful with advice and gave a very detailed welcome pack recommending loads of activities, bars, restaurants etc around the area. The house itself is beautiful and the views from the house were stunning! Every room was at a very high standard including the ensuites and the kitchen/dining area had everything we needed. The BBQ which is supplied was great for sunny days and the open fire in the main living room was great for cosy nights in. The house is very spacious which was great as we had 6 adults, two 3 years olds and an 18 months old and were very comfortable. Stephen also provided us with a cot, high chair and 2 stair gates for my baby. This made us feel more at ease knowing the kids were safe and the baby had what was needed for eating/sleeping and also saved us having to bring it all down in our car. The bunk beds were great for the other 2 kids! They had great fun running around playing both inside and outside the house. The garden is hugh with a seating area to look over the views. When visiting the local town the people are all very pleasant and there are a lot of places to eat out and and nice bars with entertainment at evenings. We needed a doctor for one of our party and they were very helpful and are only 5 minutes away. Everything else is also approx 5 minutes drive away which is great. I have already recommended this house to others and am planning another trip back already! Thank you very much Stephen, we will see you again in the ea future for another wee holiday!

“Excellent Stay - Perfect for Family and Friends” We stayed 3 nights with 4 adults and 1 toddler (2 years old) the house was a fantastic size , utility room , kitchen / dining / family area . Living room , spacious entrance and hallway , 2 large bedrooms downstairs with ensuite. Upstairs was again spacious with 2 very large rooms (both with a double , single , dressing room and ensuite) and a games room equipped with toys , ping pong table and a small pool table . The games room was well used and our 2 year old enjoyed the toys and games available !! Outside area was also spacious with gates we could close to ensure our 2 year old did not travel into the lane way . Plenty of space to play games and kick a ball . All facilities that we needed were there and more - we cooked 2 of the evenings and had everything we needed at our disposal . Lovely area - we visited the beach , glenevin waterfall and Malin head - all a stones throw away . House was clean and bright and airy - very enjoyable weekend ! Would recommend to any one looking to have a relaxing week(end) away - especialy with small children , the house was excellent !!

“Absolutely fantastic” The service was excellent and unobtrusive.We particularly liked the house which was perfectly clean,spacious,very well equipped good decor and modern.As for the location brilliant views of countryside ocean and islands.local shop nearby very convenient and the owner was very helpful and informing about the area,restaurants etc.The peace and quiet was beautiful and the whole experience very relaxing, we have no negative comments or thoughts to make.

“A perfect place for a Family Holiday near the Beach!” This Holiday Home is a very spacious property not far from Morriscastle Beach. It suited our large group of 6 adults, 4 young children and a dog perfectly. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. We loved the garden with a brilliant play area, and the outdoor BBQ and seating. The Kitchen and large American Fridge Freezer worked perfectly. Very generous space everywhere, two huge reception rooms and a sun room adjacent to kitchen/ dining area. The Study was a welcome space for my husband, who is big into photography and he had a safe space for all his cameras, lenses etc. With young children, having a laundry/ utility room was very welcome, too. Bedrooms are all very comfortable and generally the house is done up in a very pleasant way, not like some holiday homes where owners sometimes "dump" their unwanted stuff. With the village of Kilmuckridge just up the road, our shopping for food etc was very easy. There is a good butcher who does Gluten Free Products! (We had a Coeliac amongst us). Near Morriscastle beach, there is a shop/ cafe/ takeaway, very convenient when hunger strikes whilst spending your day at the fabulous, white sandy beach. Also, with a child with special needs among us, we were very happy to find a Beach Type Buggy with big Balloon Wheels there, provided by Wexford County Council. It made a huge difference to us! All in all - would we come back? Yes! What did we like best? The generous space and play area What could be improved on: very little. The house was a little hard to find. Exact GPS co-ordinates would help. Kitchen: a few kitchen towels would be good and a large pot for pasta. Top up cutlery and glasses. But these are minor details...
