“Superb accommodation with stunning views” Situated on the road to Allihies, with amazing views over mountains and sea, Cappa House is a short walk from the village of Eyeries, on the undiscovered Beara Peninsula and very conveniently located for our stay in SW Ireland. The house is a beautifully restored 2-story with 4 large bedrooms on 2 levels and bathrooms on each level. The kitchen is a large country style with every amenity thought of. The lounge room has a cosy wood fireplace and the front sitting room overlooks both the ever changing Coulagh Bay and over to the village of Eyeries. Hot water and heating is easily controlled from a panel and it is simple to boost whenever required. Washer, dryer and dishwasher are provided and wi-fi is available. Groceries and meals are easily obtained from Castletown Bear just a few kilometres away. Here we also picked up SIM cards for our iPads. We chose one of the upstairs bedrooms, as there was only 2 of us and it was supplied with a comfy queen size bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. Every day I was able to watch the twinkling lights in Eyeries village and the sunrise over the hills. We are both keen photographers and found this region absolutely stunning with it's ever changing light. Fran and family couldn't be more friendly and accommodating and even had bread and milk in the fridge for us after our drive down from Dublin! Fran also checked in on us during the week to ensure we were comfortable and provided plenty of suggestions on things to see and do in the region. I can't speak highly enough of our time at Cappa House and the ruggedly beautiful Beara Peninsula and would recommend it to all types of travellers. If the opportunity arose in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to return and bring the family.

“Nicest hospitality ever” The property has anything you need : crockery, cutlery, books, boardgames, TV, DVD, wi-fi, wood for the fireplace ... But above all, there isTom, the owner. Tom is an extremely honest person and you can be sure that he will do anything possible to make your stay perfect. The house is old and this provides an extra of warmth and quietness. The property is ideal if you want to get around the region by car and later have a nice place to relax and spend a quality time with your family.

“Outstanding accomdation. Very much worth the 5 Stars!!” Fantastic accommodation. This made are stay in Ireland so lovely. After spending most days travelling in the car with a 12 month old and a 9 yea old following up family roots, coming home to the cottage was a relaxing and enjoyable end to the day. It is so comfortable and well designed for a young family. There was 4 adults and the 2 children here and we never felt under each others feet. The worst part of the whole week in the cottage was having to leave it at the end. Definately worth every star it has been rewarded. Cannot wait to return. May I also mention the service from the staff of the running of the cottage they were also very friendly and more than helpful. Although everything was there that we needed we did not need to ask for anything else from them. Thank you. I would highly recommend.
