“Very nice apartment in Carcassonne” The penthouse is large with 2 good bedrooms and a bunk room. The living areas are spacious and the outdoor terrace is great. Right in the old town of Carcassonne close to all amenities. Underground secure parking is close by and is not expensive at 8 euros a day. It's also easy to get in and out of town. A great option to use as a base to see the surrounding area. It's a nice 20-25 minute walk to the castle. Please note the better Carcasonne restaurants are in the castle. Don't miss the river walk if you stay awhile it's on the way to the castle - quite lovely.

“Beautiful accommodation in an ideal location” We were greeted with a very warm welcome by the owners who make you feel at home right away. The accommodation is spotless and has excellent facilities. The location was ideal as it gives you easy access to the beautiful countryside and the spectacular coastline. The surrounding areas have everything you could possibly want and the nearby medieval town of Dinan is full of bars and beautiful ancestry and is a must. There are so many beautiful towns, coastal resorts and points of interest you can visit something different every day, or just chill out in the well kept garden with a glass of wine. We are already looking forward to this year.

“Total relaxation in a beautiful spot” Our first ever 'fishing' holiday was a birthday gift from myself to my husband - on reflection it couldn't have been better. He caught his PB and fished from dawn to dark for the whole week (apart from one days outing when we couldn't wait to get back to it)I spent my time exploring the local lanes and then sitting in the sun by the lake keeping a log of fish weights and times and helping my husband with landing then photographing the fish for posterity. The little gite was very comfortable and clean with everything you could possibly need and Josie and allan were the perfect hosts - there if needed but never intrusive. We loved it so much that we are returning this year in May - not long to wait now!!

“Perfect location with loads to do.” The location of this property is perfect for exploring the locality. Narbonne and Beziers are within easy reach, as are their beaches. Surrounded by vineyards, the bicycles provided were a real asset as we were able to leave the car in Olonzac. Minerve is a delight and the Lac de Jouarres provides a place to relax only a short distance away.Equally the Canal du midi provides another lovely cycling/boating opportunity with plenty of shade.Olonzac itself has many attributes, with plenty of restaurants and a large supermarket only a short walk away. The property itself is very comfortable and provides all the necessary home comforts including a generous shower and very comfortable bed. Checking in and out was relaxed and efficient with no problems at all. We would love to return to Olonzac in the future and would thoroughly recommend it to anybody contemplating the idea.

“A friendly and relaxing place to stay” Carolyn and Nick could not have been more accommodating. We decided not to hire a car and use the cottage as a base for our cycling holiday.Nick provided the airport transfer and a supermarket visit en-route to the cottage.We cycled the local area each day and had a very comfortable and relaxing base to operate from. We decided to dine with Carolyn and Nick on alternate nights - the food and company were excellent and one of the highlights of our week in France.This was a delightful introduction to cycling in France which we would recommend to new and experienced travellers to the area.

“The ultimate in relaxing getaway” My wife, son George (nearly 3) and I recently stayed in the Hopkins Gite. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Will and Karen (owners), who provided an in depth tour allowing us to become quickly acquainted with everything we needed to know. The Gite itself was spacious, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with every amenity you could need in a home away from home. Care had been taken to ensure that the accommodation was as welcoming for a toddler as it was for adults, with excellent safety precautions around the lovely pool. The grounds were immaculately maintained by Will, and the surrounding countryside and villages were idyllic. George was a little poorly on arrival, and when we expressed some concern Will and Karen couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. Karen took us into the nearby town the following day to visit an English speaking doctor, and stayed with us to ensure we knew exactly what to do. Nearby attractions included Lac St Ferriol, which had loads to do and was very family friendly, and Carcasonne which is a 'Knight' loving toddlers paradise. Despite these and much, much more being close at hand, our favourite family days were spent pottering around Chateau Montoussel, relaxing in the hammocked garden, messing around in the refreshing pool or simply setting off on a nature walk in the adjoining fields. Perhaps the best review comments I can give is that George, not one for hiding his criticisms, keeps asking if we 'can go back to Will's holiday home'
