“Character and convenience in the Old Town” We loved our stay in this atmospheric apartment in Nice Old Town. There are a fair number of steps to reach it - which we had been warned to expect, so that was no problem. The accommodation is very comfortable and enjoys the luxury of two bathrooms. The kitchen is separated from the living area by a bar / counter and it is wonderfully light and superbly equipped. It was great to be able to open the shutters in the morning and eat breakfast by the open window listening to the town waking up below. There is a constant burble from the streets in the evening but this disappears the moment the windows are closed. The thick walls and tiled floors keep everywhere cool. A special delight is to be able to walk through the famous flower market (just a minute or two away) and then on to the beach. After a morning swim, buy bread at one of the many bakeries, fruit from a stall and then "home" for coffee and breakfast - so much better than a hotel.

“A fabulous mix of great location, modern facilities and genuine local character.” This was my second visit to stay in this apartment in 2 years and my 4th to Nice. This time I was with a friend from University on her first visit to Nice. I could just say that returning to the property is enough recommendation but then I would not be doing it justice! If, like me, you are an explorer of regions whilst on holiday then this apartment is a joy. It's location is almost beyond compare. Positioned at the heart of the Old Town of France's 5th largest city, the apartment is ideal for those wishing to explore the myriad of narrow streets that make the area so characterful. It was great for us to be able to walk almost everywhere from the apartment door. The Promenade des Anglais is 5 minutes gentle stroll with a good selection of sunbathing options. If dining out, as it was for us, is your choice then an outstanding number of reasonable priced, good quality restaurants and bars are within 10 minutes easy walk. We did spend some time exploring other areas along the coast and found it easy to access the excellent and low cost bus network, as all the stops are within 10 minute walk from the apartment. The facilities within the apartment are fabulous. It is clear from the outset that the owners have taken time to carry out a sympathetic modernisation of the apartment whilst not affecting it's original features and wonderful character. Equipment levels are outstanding in the kitchen area which means we could have cooked in should we have wished. The Wi-Fi and TV / Audio facilities mean that we were always in touch with friends / family and we were able to relax in the excellent living area after our evening out. Sometimes, apartments have poor storage in bedrooms which is not the case here and was most welcome. As we were in Nice with temperatures hitting 33 degrees on a daily basis, our 6 day stay was made so much better by the air conditioning in the apartment which is very effective and easy to operate. Finally, I have read some other reviews of this apartment where people have mentioned the street noise at night. I can honestly say that this was not an issue to us and did not affect our sleep! We were happy to be in the centre of a city which offers something for everyone and takes a pride in its appearance.
