“Beautiful and relaxing!” The gite forms part of an estate surrounded by mature trees. There are 3 other gites on site as well as the owners. Les Roses was perfect for us and easily accommodated our large group. The gite and the grounds are beautifully well kept by the owners Tony and Pat as are the pool and hot tub. This is an ideal spot for families.

“superb accomodation. brilliant hosts. great holiday.” The barn exceeded our expectations, very cosy with everything needed, in a beautiful location, lots to do, places to visit, countryside meets coast., best of both worlds. David and Sarah and family were great hosts and willing to go above and beyond to help at all times. A most thoughtful welcome pack awaited us which was gratefully recieved. “Lovely house with lots to do” A very good house with plenty of room for the five children in our party to spend time indoors on a rainy day. The kids loved the bikes in the games and spent hours on end cycling with minimal supervision because the house is located on a secure site with minimal traffic. There is also lots to see in surrounding towns. Fougeres castle and town are a definate must see.

“Great converted barn in the heart of the French countryside” A sympathetically converted well proportioned barn in the heart of the Dordogne, the perfect destination for friends or a family group that want to get away from it all and enjoy everything the French countryside has to offer. The barn is beautifully furnished and is obviously a much cared for family home. It has all the mod cons and plenty of extras to keep friends or family entertained, even down to a garage full of mountain bikes. We were warmly welcomed and the operation of everything we might need listed in some detail. A great vegetable and fruit garden was in full production and we were told to help ourselves. We had great fun picking our own food and preparing it in the lovely kitchen and then enjoying it at one on the many tables outside the property, placed to make the best of sun all day round. All in all this was the perfect holiday and we would recommend it to anyone. A big thank you to our hosts Jeanette and Neil.

“Amazing hosts and a truly French experience!” Brilliant property for: A truly French experience in a friendly rural hamlet Fantastic scenery and so many attractions within easy reach Kind, thoughtful (but in no way intrusive) hosts who provided wonderful recommendations; they listened to our 'brief' and matched our tastes and interests perfectly- this made the holiday really special and we certainly wouldn't have been able to enjoy so many great experiences without their help. Delicious breakfast baskets delivered to our door by our hosts- full of fresh local produce at a very reasonable price. Very smooth booking arrangements and lots of advice at every stage of our planning.

“A french gem in a beautiful quiet village” We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful gite, it had everything that you could wish for in a holiday let and catered for all of our family including a young child. It was so well equipped, spotlessly clean and decorated with a rustic french charm. I would highly recommend this accommodation and of all the places I have stayed I think this is definitely the best. Crazannes the village is quiet but charming and a great base for visiting the surrounding area such as Cognac, La Rochelle and Royan.

“The Barn at Frolis - we enjoyed it very much” My wife and I stayed for 2 weeks at the Barn at Frolois in May, 2013. We did not want to stay in a big city but wanted to experience French life in a village. At the end of our stay we were a little sad to be leaving. The Barn was extremely well appointed, clean and comfortable. We loved the fresh bread deliveries each day. Frolois served our purpose as a base to travel out to various points of interest in Burgundy and Chablis, including Dijon and Baume. We enjoyed just getting lost and having the GPS bring us home. Frolois is very quiet but we enjoyed the walks up the hill to Frolois-le-Village and exploring up there. The Grange Restaurant at Flavigny was cute (and in the film Cocolat). Shopping 20-30 minutes away. Slow down, there is so much to find if you don’t rush. The owners Sharon and Gregoire are the nicest people you would want to meet. We traveled from Australia.

“Family holibobs” We thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday all 7 of us plus baby Maxy and our Bennydog. Great communication from Tracey all the way through and very helpful with extra questions etc. A lovely welcome and informative. Beautiful location very quiet, perfect for all of us, fishing, golf local markets, vineyards much loved. House provides everything you need very well equipped. Couple of extras would be bbq tools, foil in kitchen, tables by pool for drinks, more storage in bedrooms for clothes, containers in kitchen to put leftovers in. These are not at all criticisms just helpful points we thought of as a family. Tracey and Rob thankyou so much for being such lovely hosts and showing us round your beautiful place......we will be back i’m certain...xx❤️
