From the owner

The studio is a compact and cosy double, well presented and comfortable room in the town centre but on a tree lined road. It is self catering and conveniently close to all amenities and transport links with off road parking for one car and a small kitchenette with kettle, microwave, small fridge and compact shower room. It is joined to a family home but has its own entrance. It has everything you need for a good base for exploring etc. The cooking area has limited space so there is a fold up additional table if required. There is a small private patio area in the front garden near to your room where you can also sit with patio chairs outside the room for your use you can also park your car here if you wish. The room has a pleasant outlook onto the stone walled garden. Smoking is allowed outside in the garden. A Small to medium sized dog is welcome . Children over 3 are welcome too if you don't mind them sharing your bed. Please note this room is best suited to guests who are looking for a base to stay and prefer to eat out or alfresco in the garden. There is a bbq provided from May 2017 for your sole use.

You don't really need a car as everything is nearby however if you do bring a car parking is available on reservation.

suitable for kids over 5 sharing a bed with parents, a small dog is welcome and smoking is fine outside. There is a key safe so flexible check in and freedom to come and go when you please. Space in front garden to sit and relax and store bikes etc. There is off road parking but I am very close to the town so transport is optional.

Hi Linda I advised you before you booked that it was a small room when you asked me if there was a sofa I said there was not enough space, I also said there were fold up chairs and table because of the size, which have been used by other guests. The garden is as in the picture. I also would like to point out that the price charged is lower than other listings and this is to reflect the type of property booked to suit smaller amounts of people. I made no additional charge for your dogs. I never offered any money back because I had already informed you of the size and facilities and would not be able to re let the room. I am sorry you did not get what you expected and understand that you went to another place with a hot tub and log cabin so I am not sure why you didn't book this kind of holiday in the first place as it seems to have been more what you were looking for instead of a room.

Why can't I call Paula (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Paula (the owner) a message.

If Paula (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
