In the heart of Tuscia, at 5 km from Viterbo, the City of Popes, the villa is a perfect place for relaxation. Immersed in a lovely garden with olive threes, it accommodates up to six/eight people in three comfortable bedrooms. A pool is available from June to September. The villa has got independent access and services. Inside it presents three bedrooms, two with ensuite bathrooms, two large living rooms, one kitchen and dining room with fire-place. The upper seating room with balcony offers a beautiful sight of the garden, olives grove and pool. The wooden made patio outside is perfect to dine al fresco contemplating the garden and the pool, you can also bake your pizza in the wood oven or use the barbecue facilities near the well. Guests have their own key to enter the apartment and a remote control for the property's gate. I personally welcome all my guests, provide them with the essential instructions of the house and tips about things to see and to eat in the lovely land of Tuscia. I live next-door but, when I'm not around, my parents and cats act on my behalf!!! In autumn, between November/December, we pick the olives from the trees to make a wonderful extra-virgin olive oil. Joining guests are welcomed as long as ready to face habitual strong winds, bruschette, barbecues and roasted chestnuts!!!! In Spring and Summer we grow our own vegetables and pick fruits from the trees (apples, figs, apricots, whole nuts, prunes). Our guests may enjoy such natural gifts as well as refresh themselves in the swimming pool. Also, for those interested, we run introductory and advanced pottery courses, table tennis tournaments and cruise on sailing boat on the Bolsena Lake.  …see more

Situated on the summit of a promontory which forms part of Porto Rafael, a small piece of paradise and an exclusive resort, Luna faces the splendid sea of Sardinia dominating it from a distance. The property is immersed in greenery, interrupted by rocks of granite in extravagant forms reminiscent of the moon (Luna signifies moon) The sea is visible from many parts of the villa and particularly enchanting is the glimpse offered from the area of the garden used the least, the area used to access the villa. Surrounded by one hectare of land, the villa offers the possibility to enjoy large external spaces of terraced areas, including the patio connected to an external kitchen. A small district set in between the rocks, there are no hotels or large complexes in Porto Raphael, but exclusively private villas and houses immersed in 150 hectares of Mediterranean vegetation, camouflaged between the rocks. A “location”, Porto Rafael is discreet but not isolated. Peace is guaranteed, relaxing in front of the sea sitting at a coffee bar in one of the two small squares of Porto Rafael. A wealthy industrial family from Milan built Villa Concetta in 1911 in Argegno, picturesque holiday resort on the west shore of Como lake. Sunny, elevated position, with stunning view of the lake. Situated 80 feet above the ocean on the Oregon Coast is the perfect getaway to disconnect for yourself or reconnect with someone special. Walk on miles of untouched beaches, fish on the famous Rogue River, enjoy watching the sun set from the dining room table or back deck into the pacific ocean. Year round you may sun on the back deck reading your favorite book or looking at numerous varieties of birds, including flocks of pelicans flying by. Watch for whales while warming yourself by the wood fire stove. Look for chipmunks, squirrels and families of quail walking through the yard. This is a private little paradise. Our favorite evening is cooking a wonderful meal using fresh local ingredients like wild salmon, tuna or crab in our kitchen that overlooks the ocean. After dinner take a walk in the temperate weather or build a bon fire in the backyard to gaze at stars and watch the ocean. The front covered porch is great for rainy romantic meals or to hang out in the hammock and watch the wildlife. We do have a great TV with DVD player but most people visit us to disconnect from the world and be in nature. It is common to look out the bathroom window and see whales going by or hear sea lions barking below and watch osprey or even bald eagles circle over head. No telephones here. An Old Lake House on the shores of Lake Erie is reminiscent of days gone by. This quirky 200 year old house has charm and character. The house retains a relaxing comfort, but has all the convenience of modern times. Entering from the East Drive porch there is a entry hall with a downstairs bathroom boasting a large shower. Ahead, an open kitchen welcomes you with its sunny disposition and lake views. The large living room with refinished floors and fireplace is through the kitchen. It has inviting lake views and comfortable seating. Open the front door you enter the 3 season porch facing the lake. There are places to sit down read a book, have drinks and conversations, throw down your beach towel and take a nap on the porch benches. Up the stairs are the 3 spacious bedrooms all with lake views. The Loft Room is cozy with a double bed and a single loft sleeping area. The loft is sturdy enough for an adult to sleep and safe enough for an 8 year old. The Dorm Room is roomy with 2 sets of twin bunks, 1 trundle 1 double bed, and large dressing closet with vanity area. Step down one step to the S'More Room, with a set of twin bunk beds and 1 double bed. There is a large bathroom with a claw foot tub and laundry facilities in between these to rooms. Mitiwanga means the peaceful sandy beach. Just step out of the 3 season porch on to the outdoor deck area and straight down the grassy hill are those beaches that Mitiwanga is named after. It was the farm house of the land now known as Mitiwanga Park, making it the eldest in the park. The main part of the home is a log cabin which can be seen by the depth of the window sills and thickness of the walls. Most of the log walls have lath and plaster so the old world charm remains. Sunny paint and new paneling give it the fresh and clean look that brightens up the interior. The flooring was completely changed in the 1920s and has been refinished back to it vintage beauty. Any replacements were made with materials that are in character with its age. All the appliances and mechanics have been updated for the modern world. That is as much as this vintage house will allow itself to be without losing its uniqueness. In the Norwalk flood of 1969, the abstract of the house was lost. The paper trail found in recent times date to 1880s. After a recent storm that caused damage to the roof, the insurance investigator dated the house by its construction to 1820s. Newspaper reports, local stories and some historical reports date it back further to 1813 linking it to Amon Ruggles the surveyor of the Firelands.
