Ecological and cultural activity abounds at the Eden Project, which is a mere 10 minute drive, and the South West Coastal path is within minutes. Steam train rides, tractor rides, farm visits and a nearby zoo are all on offer for this with small children, and all within easy reach.

For those just wanting to relax, days on the beach soaking up the sun are ideal. You can often be one of only a handful of people down there, even in summer - a far cry from the norm for Cornwall on a sunny day!
