The Pembrokeshire region
Tenby (Welsh: Dinbych-y-pysgod, meaning little town of the fishes or little fortress of the fish) is a walled seaside town in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales, on the western side of Carmarthen Bay.
Notable features of Tenby include 2.5 miles (4.0 km) of sandy beaches; the 13th century medieval town walls, including the Five Arches barbican gatehouse; the 15th century St. Mary's Church; the Tudor Merchant's House (National Trust); Tenby Museum and Art Gallery; and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, part of Wales' only coastal National Park. Boats sail from Tenby's harbour to the offshore monastic Caldey Island, while St Catherine's Island is a tidal island. The town is served by Tenby railway station.
Pembrokeshire ( Welsh: Sir Benfro) is a county in the south west of Wales. It borders Carmarthenshire to the east and Ceredigion to the north east. Pembrokeshire County Council's headquarters are in the county town of Haverfordwest.
The county is home to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only coastal national park of its kind in the United Kingdom and one of three national parks in Wales, the others being Snowdonia and Brecon Beacons national parks. Over the years Pembrokeshire's beaches have been awarded 41 Blue Flag Awards (13 in 2011), 47 Green Coast Awards (15 in 2011) and 106 Seaside Awards (31 in 2011. In 2011 it also had 39 beaches recommended by the Marine Conservation Society.
Much of Pembrokeshire has been English in language and culture for many centuries. The boundary between the English and Welsh speakers is known as the Landsker Line and southern Pembrokeshire is occasionally referred to as Little England beyond Wales.

"Like a home from home"
Very well equipped bungalow, with everything you need. DVDs and games for the kids and all the kitchen essentials, plus a few more.
Rooms are nicely laid out and spacious. We enjoyed our stay even though the weather was tipping it down as it was a good base to stay at. It was a real home from home and we were very comfortable.
Easiest to get to the beach by Irving to the station at penally and walking through path from there. Could walk through kiln park holiday site also but quite a long walk. Fine for adults but we had a three year old with us. Can walk to Tenby along the beach. Beautiful scenery down there.
House does not look much from the front but it is lovely inside which is where it counts!
