The Perfect Hideaway. “Camel Quarry House” is a new & contemporary home. It has been built using local materials to the highest specification. It is just a one minute walk to the Camel Estuary and the Camel Trail. The imaginative and magical garden has been designed by Mary Reynolds who won the coveted Gold Medal for her Celtic garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2002. There is a mooring in front of the house, by boat you are a few minutes from Rock and Padstow, or you can bicycle to either or Wadebridge in 15 minutes. The views from the house and terrace are spectacular. The views shown are what you will see when you come and stay here! The house has 4 double bedrooms each with it's own bathroom and separate shower room. A further 2 rooms can be made up as double beds or singles. They have their own bathroom or shower room. You can park your car and not need to get back into it for the duration.

The West Country / Cornwall region
The Estuary has a wonderful and varied willdlife, in the evenings hear and watch all the Estuary birds. varied runs from the house along the flat Camel trail or up hills and back to the house. In Padstow you can visit Prideaux Place or a short pedestrian ferry ride from Padstow will take you to St Ennadoc Church. Or walking out to the Rumps to look for seals, or consult the OS map for the huge variety of local scenic walks. 10 min drive to Pencarrow House with lovely gardens and house which hosts a jazz festival each autumn. Nearby there are National Trust houses, Lanhydrock a magnificent late Victorian country house with extensive servants' quarters, gardens and wooded estate, or Trerice an Elizabethan manor house with fine interiors and delightful garden
Padstow / Camel Estuary area
Padstow is a small working fishing town, as well as being famous for its gourmet restaurants (particularly Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant) and deli with delicious food. Increasingly the town has attracted very trendy shops, coffee bars etc which enhance rather than detract from the appeal. Wadebridge is one of North Cornwall's main market towns and gateway to the Camel Trail. It has a varied range of good shops. Bicycles are part of the life here and they can be rented from Gobybicycle bike hire -01208 815715 -, they will deliver and collect from the house. As well as water skiing and banana boating, the Camel Ski School offers Ski lessons, Equipment hire, Banana boat rides, Boat repairs and storage, Engine servicing and Qualified Instuctors' Training to Instructor level for power boats and water skiing, (01208) 862727.
The Camel School of Seamanship, RYA and AALA licensed sailing school, provides sailing lessons for every level or you can rent your own Cornish Shrimper or Wayfarer and enrol in a driving a power boat safely course. The estuary is a paradise for sailing or water skiing,
Surfing at Polzeath, rent your wetsuit / equipment at TJ’ s on the beach, or our side of the estuary a 20 min drive will take you to Harlyn Bay or Booby's. 35 mins and you can be on Fistral the famous surfing beach at Newquay
Golf is available for a green fee at Roserrow or St Enodoc Linkside course or Constantine.
Sea Angling, fun for all the family, all tackle supplied available at the quay in Padstow or at the ponton in Rock.

Further details indoors: The living area is on the second floor which is glazed to give a 360 degree view of the estuary and country side. The nearest house is over 1km away. The South facing terrace is accessed off the sitting room by large concertina doors. It has a table for 18 people and sofa and bean bags. There is also a BBQ here. The bedrooms have fabulous views and are very comfortable with bathrooms and separate showers. Two of the bedrooms have freestanding baths in the bedroom. The Multimedia room on the grond floor has large LCD screen with a surround system and a colection of DVDs. The wet room has hanging and plunge bath for the wetsuits and a separate area for the laundry with 2 x 10kg load washing / drier machines. Outside there is an outdoor shower for those returning from shrimping, or playing below on the estuary. In the cellar there is a gym with a running machine, rowing machine, Nordic trainer and punch bag. DVD to help you get through your regime.
