Wow, Beautiful, Oustanding are just some of the initial impressions people have of this beautiful six bedroomed, non smoking family house in an excellent beach location with breath taking views over the Gannel Estuary. The beach is just metres away from the house which offers safe bathing for the children with its numerous rock pools and for the more adventurous why not get a kayak or go waterskiing on the Gannel. You can walk to Crantock beach by following the Gannel.

However if your like us and want to escape the busy beach areas the best place is on your doorstep as its quiet on the Gannel even in the peak of summer. Offering you peace of mind as you are able to see the children having fun in the warm rock pools whilst you relax on the beach. After a busy day at the beach why not relax in the hot tub, or end the day with a tasty barbeque.

Whether you are seeking a quiet relaxing holiday or something with more entertainment, then Newquay has it all, and is suitable for all ages. If you are wanting to take a break from the cooking then Newquay and surrounding area hosts an abundance of famous restaurants including Jamie Oliver, Rick Stein's and not so famous, and of course many first class Cornish country pubs, if you are looking for clubs then Newquay has it all.

Newquay hosts many activities and is most famously known for its surfing. Close by there are many attractions such as the Eden Project, Lands End, more local are Diary land and Lappa Valley for the children. Karting at St Eval or fishing trips for the adults. You can take part in horse riding and ride up the Gannell, (when the tide is out), which is suitable for all. The Gannel has a variety of birds and the Little Egret, and Oyster Catchers can be seen together with many other species.

The coastal paths are breathtaking and for those enjoying walking this offers spectaular scenery.

The Cornwall region

Cornwall is a peninsula situated at the south-western most tip of Britain, opposite the peninsula of Brittany in France. It forms part of the 'Atlantic Arc' of six Celtic countries - Brittany, Cornwall, Wales, Isle of Man, Eire and Scotland. Its landscape bears a greater resemblance to that of its Celtic neighbours than to the rolling hills of Devon and the rest of England. The climate is mild due to the warming effects of the Gulf Stream - indeed palm trees are relatively common in the gardens of south and west Cornwall and sub-tropical plants can be seen growing quite happily at the Abbey Gardens of the Scillonian island of Tresco. The moderating influence of the sea also means that Cornish winters are rarely severe and hot summer days are often cooled by gentle sea breezes.Famed for its beaches and rugged coastline, stretching for almost 300 miles, Cornwall has an area of about 3,550 sq. km. (1,370 sq. miles) of which over 25% (958 sq. km.) are designated as areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For the keen and adventurous who enjot walking, there is the famous coastal which stretches an outstanding 480 km, hosting some of the most breathtaking views in the UK. For the keen cyclists there is the famous Camel trail which runs along the river Camel from Padstow to Wadebridge.

Gannel Estuary

Newquay has so much to offer, the town, the eleven beaches, and of course a full range of water sports. Newquay provides its visitors with a vast variety of excitement , entertainment and choices; explore the cliff tops, walks along one of the eleven superb beaches or visit some of the many attractions in town or close by, such as the Zoo, golf course, Trenance Leisure Park, Waterworld, Sea Life Centre, Tunnels Through Time and plentiful night life. Balloon Festival and Celebrate the1900s week in July. Nearby, Elizabethan Trerice Manor (NT), DairyLand Farm World and Lappa Valley Steam Railway. Fistral Beach is the most famous of Newquay's beaches. Excellent for surfing at low tide, Fistral boasts quick, hollow waves. Host of many an international and national surfing championship, Fistral Beach gets the best of the swell. Nearby on the headland is Towan Beach. Newquay's main beach, Towan Beach is easily accessible and provides kids' attractions in the form of a paddling pool and rock pools. The next beach lying to the west is known locally as Polly Joke. A pretty, sandy cove, Polly Joke can be quieter than its neighbours due to the 10 minute trek on an uneven footpath from West Pentire car park. Further west, you'll find Holywell Bay. Here you'll find beautiful sand dunes and on a good day you might be able to spot a dolphin or two. Nearby, there's more family entertainment at the Holywell Bay Fun Park (free entry) and Penhale Adventure Centre (coasteering, climbing, sailing, kitesurfing). There's not much organised entertainment at Crantock Beach but with its sheltering sand dunes makes a great place for a quiet, relaxing picnic.
