Carmarthenshire is known as the garden of Wales and hosts the National Botanical Gardens with Aberglasney nearby, together with numerous natural gardens to visit throughout the three counties. We now have our own racecourse situated at Ffoslas, near Llanelli.
We are situated on a hilltop, a mile outside the village of Glandwr. "Lovely house in a lovely location - great for all the family"
The holiday was a family reunion with people aged from 4 to 74, and Pencwm fit the bill for everyone. We had a great stay and Lorna made us very welcome with thoughtful attention to details such as a welcome pack including local produce, and plenty of wood and coal for cosy fires when needed.. The children loved the freedom to roam the land, play on the swing and feed the donkeys, whilst the grown ups revelled in the peace and quiet.
Pencwm is not very close, but then not very far from anywhere. It is very peaceful, and provides a great location from which to visit the Pembrokeshire coast, local towns such as Narbeth and also Oakwood theme park.

"fabulous cottage, wonderfully helpful owner and a brilliant birthday weekend!"
We had a perfect weekend from start to finish. Lorna went out of her way to help with the booking process and with helping me make arrangements for the group whilst we were there.
The cottage was toasty and spotlessly clean when we arrived and nibbles were waiting for us too!
We had a dog with us and he had as much fun as we did. Beautiful area to explore but the real coal fire helped with the rainy days!
Make sure you say hello to the donkeys too, they were lovely!
The only piece of advice I have is you need to keep a very close eye out for the sign for the house at night as we did go past it but googlemaps is pretty accurate.
Will definitely be back for my birthday next year and hopefully again after that!

The welcome we received on arrival was very warm and genuine from Lorna. The cottage was everything we could of asked for, even though its location was a bit more isolated than we thought and the seaside further away than anticipated , I don't know if that's our townie outlook that we expect everything on our doorstep ?
