The Hayloft is a phenomenal house which has been extensively converted to the highest standard by the owners who live on site. The Hayloft features reverse style living with kitchen / living area upstairs taking advantage of the huge vaulted ceilings and far reaching views over the local countryside. The owners have converted The Hayloft with great attention to detail with oak flooring and granite worktops in the kitchen and large en-suite bathrooms with double sized wet rooms. Stay with us in the cooler months and there is a wood burner which makes a great focal point to cosy up to. Outside is a private and secure landscaped garden with patio and lawned area.
The Hayloft is situated in a peaceful location with countryside all around but only 5 mins drive to the pretty little village of Marhamchurch with its fantastic restaurant 'THE WEIR' overlooking the canal and wildlife centre. Great for everybody as it has a fabulous outdoor children's play area and romantic walks around the canal. The menu is also truly delicious with a wide range of homemade dishes. The whole family can park and cycle along the canal and back again all on the flat!
The Coastal town of Bude is nearby with its many sandy beaches, sea swimming pool, leisure centre, walks, surfing and a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. GROUND FLOOR: Large entrance hall with natural stoned flooring and bespoke arched double doors leading up to the oak and glass stairs. There are two large well appointed bedrooms Master bedroom with en-suite bathroom has king sized bed, Lcd tv and patio doors which open out to sun terrace and seating area.
Second bedroom has king sized and single bed with Lcd Tv and en-suite bathroom.
Utility room with washer/dryer, sink, drinks fridge, ironing board and iron. Back door leading out to garden and rotary washing line.
FIRST FLOOR: Open planned stunning living/ dining / kitchen area with glass bi-fold doors that open fully out onto the balcony and terrace area. The modern and contemporary kitchen is superbly equipped for all your catering needs and includes a light and spacious style dining area. The lounge has a 42" flat screen tv, dvd, sky and cd / ipod docking station.
The third bedroom also has a king sized bed, Tv and is situated next to family size bathroom with deep bath and separate shower and heated towel rail.
All bedrooms are beautifully decorated with Clarke and Clarke fabrics and matching soft furnishings.All duvets and pillows are duck and down feathers with white Egyptian linens. Every bedroom has a 22" digital tv
All bed linen and towels are provided.
OUTSIDE: Fenced large and secure garden with landscaped flower beds, teak patio furniture, BBQ, loungers and a
large store shed with out door toys and plenty of room for bikes, surf boards and golf clubs.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If you like the idea of eating at home, either with ready prepared meals or a full chef and waiter service please do try our recommended chefs at Sargies. This is a husband and wife team who offer exceptional food at very competitive prices. LOCAL DAY TRIPS......Short drive down the coast are the pretty and historical villages of BOSCASTLE, TINTAGEL and CRACKINGTON HAVEN where you can go back in time and visit king Arthers castle and have the best cream tea's. Carry on down the highway to PORT ISAAC, made famous by the series Doc Martin.
Why not indulge yourself in one of our local restaurants run by celebrity chefs such as Rick Stein or Jamie Oliver with world class reputations at PADSTOW or WATERGATE BAY.
Situated opposite PADSTOW is ROCK another coastal village made popular with its well established water sports including water skiing and windsurfing.
If you like historic houses and gardens there is PENCARROW house and gardens as well as the Eden Project and the LOST GARDENS OF HELIGAN.
Explore Bodmin Moor with its many Tors including Rough Tor and Brown Willy. See the well known Jamaica Inn and the tarn Dozmary Pool which is a Mesolithic Flint site. There are many Hut Settlements and Stone Circles and Barrows.
A great day out is the Camel Trail which is a 17 mile traffic free recreational cycle trail that follows the route of an old railway. It is ideal for family cycling as it is level all the way and with views of moorland, woodland and estuary are
Cornwall also hosts some of the best local country shows these are annual events and are brim-full of exhibits and activities which offer so much in the way of entertainment, competition, information, shopping and all that's best in food and farming.

The surrounding landscape, so diverse and stunning in every aspect, the miles and miles of golden sandy beaches this seaside town offers so much including a good selection of pubs, restaurants and shops including a farmers market on a Friday all adding to the friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
WHAT'S ON OFFER --- Bude is famous for its surfing and water sports and historically for having the Bude Canal with working sea lock. Boats and bikes for all the family can be hired locally. There is windsurfing, sailing, kayaking at lower Tamer Lakes and a leisure complex with swimming pool, bowling and indoor play facilities. Golf courses at Bude and nearby Holsworthy and St Enadoc.
There is a good selection of pubs, restaurants and shops including a farmers market on a Friday. Through out the summer for those that like a bargain Bude hosts a large car boot sale held every Sunday.
Summerleaze, Bude - Sandy beach popular with families and close to town centre. Also has an outdoor sea pool, car park, toilets and cafe. Dogs allowed on the beach all year but they must be on a lead in the summer months. Lifeguard cover from beginning of May to the end of September.
Crooklets, Bude - Otherwise known as ''the Bondi of Britain'', Crooklets often provides ideal conditions for surfers. Pebbly at high tide and home to the Bude Surf Life Saving Club ( who hold demonstrations every Tuesday 7pm ). Dogs not allowed. Lifeguard cover from beginning of May to the end of September.
Widemouth Bay..... Has two miles of flat sand and is one of the most popular family and surfing beaches around. Car park, toilets and cafe. Dogs only allowed on the south side also known as Black rock Beach. Has great rock pools to explore at low tide. You will also find The beach house where you can hire surf boards and wet suits. There is also a great shop selling fresh fish and local produce. Along this coastline you will find two great pubs/restaurant The Bay view where you will enjoy the freshest food with fabulous flavours and Elements with its cool interior and wonderful italian menu and of course a view of the ocean to die for. Lifeguarded from May to the end of September.
Sandymouth - 5 miles north of Bude - lovely quiet beach owned by the National Trust. There is a steep walk to the beach so is not recommended for the less mobile. Cafe and toilets open in high season. Dogs allowed. Car Park nearby. Lifeguarded.
Northcott Mouth - 3 miles north of Bude - small cove with plenty of pebbles and rock pools, sandy at low tide. Dogs allowed. Car park nearby. Lifeguard cover July and August.
MILLOOK........ Another beach of haunting beauty great for those wishing to observe wildlife such as seals and dolphins as well as birds of prey.
SOUTH WEST COASTAL PATHS ....... There is no better way to explore than on foot, the numerous, stunning and inland coastal paths which start, finish and pass through Bude ensuring you never walk the same path twice during your stay.
