The Belfast region

Lonely Planet said this year that Belfast has shed its troubled past and been transformed into a “hip and hedonistic party town”.

Fodor's Ireland named Belfast as one of the top 21 places in the world to visit in its new edition.

In 2011 TripAdvisor announced that Belfast was the best value UK city for tourists.

See and explore this super city and beautiful Northern Ireland from one of Abbey Self Catering's luxury 5-star properties.

We're less than 10 minutes from Belfast city centre & the new Titanic building, conveniently located to the main motorway network and an ideal base for exploring the Antrim coast.

The whole province is within easy reach of Abbey Cottages..!!

We are close to all motorways. Bus and train services pass close by, and guests also enjoy the convenience of a 24 hour shop within 2 minutes walk.

The 800-year old Carrickfergus Castle, one of Irelands oldest and most impressive Norman castles, is only 8 miles away. Belfast Zoo, Fortwilliam Golf Club, the beautiful and historic Cave Hill offering stunning views over Belfast & the Lough, are all only ten minutes drive.

The main residence has direct private access to the coastal path and beach, where you can enjoy leisurely walks and a gently scenic cycle.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are always slightly concerned when we have a group of young people here - but we needn't have been at all since you took great care of our house during your visit and left promptly at check-out time.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on our beautiful house and for giving us such an interesting and excellent one! We also appreciate very much your understanding when we had a problem with one of the showers ( we were able to locate the leak and get it fixed the weekend you departed) especially as you were there for 2 weeks with many family members. We do hope that we shall see you next year and give you our best wishes in the meantime.
