The popular Victorian spa town of Aberystwyth, with its many attractions is only a five minute drive away. The mountains of North Wales provide a majestic backdrop to the beautiful sunsets over Cardigan Bay and a walk along the mile and a half long promenade could also provide you with a glimpse of the resident bottlenose dolphins. The Cambrian Mountains and unspoilt river valleys are only a short drive away or why not enjoy a trip on a narrow gauge railway instead. Aberystwyth is an University town with a mile long promenade and sandy beaches. The narrow gauge railway trip to Devils Bridge is very popular as is the Butterfly house in the Rheidol Valley. Sea and river fishing are popular pastimes in this area as are golf and cycling. The cycle paths and walks at Nant yr Arian forest and lake are a huge draw particularly for viewing the Red Kite population. The surrounding countryside is stunning in places and offers excellent exploration expeditions. The Rheidol riding centre is well established and caters for all ages. The Arts Centre, Cinema and local pubs provide excellent night time entertainment.
