Gorgeous, perfect Location and incredible hosts!
What wonderful place to stay and a perfect location from which to explore! We spent a fantastic week here with friends and family, 10 in all, and we couldn't have been happier with the location, the space, the food and particularly the hosts. This is a large villa with many rooms (some of which we never used there were so many) and all were large and spacious including the bedrooms and they all suited their functions perfectly. Sometimes finding a villa with a large enough kitchen and dining room isn't always possible but at Sogara both were great size and well stocked even though we did most of our dining on the romantic outside terrace facing the beautiful courtyard. The other wonderful thing about Villa Sogara are the hosts. Tomasso and Ella were truly two of the most warm and friendly hosts we have every come across helping us with information, recommendations, directions and any other needs or questions that we could come up with and always available whether it was 8 in the morning or 11 at night. And then there is the food! Ella is truly a very gifted chef and we experienced incredible meals every time she prepared dinner for us. She would prepare Antipasto, two pastas, entree and dessert for each meal and all were incredibly delicious. The other nice thing about the dinners is that they did all the prep, serving and cleaning so those mundane items which I don't like doing while on vacation were taken care of. The last item is the location. We like to do a new city/town everyday so having a location that is central to a lot of places is essential. Sogara puts you very close to Verona, about 20 minutes, which is a magnificent city, but also less than an hour to Mantova (this is an incredible city and an UNESCO heritage site), Lake Garda, Padova, and even Venice, which was about and hour and twenty but an easy straight drive on the Autostrada. We couldn't have been happier with Villa Sogara, its beauty, location and hospitality made it the perfect place for us. …
Verona eclectic apartment
Sylvia's apartment in Verona is a great place to stay in this lovely city. The apartment is a good size overall and in a nice area. A ten to fifteen minute walk will have you at the centre of the city or a supermarket ( there is a small convenience shop in the same street). Sylvia is a lovely host and very helpful (she has a cute puppy as well). The only downside is the neighbours above can be a bit inconsiderate with the noise but I would still stay here if I came back to Verona so don't let it stop you. …
New Lodge Apartment-Verona
Perfect in every way!
Tiziana's apartment was spacious, warm and comfortable. It is perfectly located as all of the beautiful sites in Verona were within easy walking distance. Our flight was delayed which meant that it was nearly midnight when we arrived but Tiziana's mum and dad arranged a taxi for us and came to greet us to show us around the apartment which was greatly appreciated. We have stayed in many apartments before but this was certainly the best! We will definitely be coming back and will be recommending this apartment to friends and family. Thank You! …
Santa Lucia Guest House
Good location and Value for Money
We visited Verona for the World Junior Fencing Championships and then planned a holiday for the rest of the week. For a family of 4 it provided everything we needed. The accommodation was within easy walking distance of the venue. Local amenities including cash point, bus services and local shops about 5-10 minute walk. Lidl supermarket 20-25 minutes walk.
Host very pleasant and amenable just a case of asking. He was also a taxi driver so could drive you around cheaper than the main taxi services.
Verona centre is about 30-40 minutes walk depending where. So accommodation situated well for access most areas.
Accommodation was on a par with a family room in travel lodge but with cooking facilities which we wanted as we were not sure if we could make hotel meal times or prices.
Only down side is no washing machine in property so take sufficient clothes for the duration.
If you ask Livio he'll probably provide laundry service for a small fee.... always worth asking.
There is a small courtyard/garden which is pleasant and worth using whether permitting. Check local seasonal whether before travelling.
Property also has heating/air conditioning unit.
TV is OK but a bit small... all channels in Italian
Wifi works ok but might be better if you use unlimited data offers from your provider and use hotspot especially if aps etc are data hungary and there are a few of you other wise free wifi is adequate.
Pleasant place, nice guy you're renting from quite area which is good if you want to get away from the noise of a central location but is accessible to all areas of Verona. …
Casa Mazzanti: picta the domus in Piazza Erbe
A lovingly restored apartment in one of Verona’s historic buildings
A top floor apartment (there is a lft) with the original centuries old wooden beams visible under the rafters. Close to all the best restaurants in Verona, an easy walk to the Arena and close to the lively Piazza delle Erbe but in a quieter back street, this is an excellent base for a holiday in Verona, or, like us, for attending the opera. The apartment is well equipped (excellent shower). Nicola is a caring host and always on call for advice or to solve problems. This is the second year running we have stayed in one of his rentals and we plan to be back next year. There are too many great places close by to list but I would recommend Bugiardo wine bar, the Dante Cafe, the Arche Restaurant and to go up the Torre de Lamberti. For very reasonable home cooking (3 generations in the kitchen) go to Da Mario, a puzzeria and risottoria near the Arche Scagileri. …

The apartment was great! Perfect for our stay
The apartment was well organised and very clean with great amenities. Olindi left us some treats for our arrival which also helped. He helped us with directions, things to do and even ordered a taxi for us when we were unable to do it! The apartment was in walking distance of everything in Verona and buses were easy to catch. The air conditioning was an absolute necessity at this time of year. …
