Description

THE COTTAGE -

Avon Vale in the quiet village of Woodgreen is a small detatched cottage nestled in the woods of the beautiful New Forest. Actually situated on the Avon Valley Path, it is a walker's paradise with walks in every direction.You can literally walk straight out of the gate right into the forest, in the cottage there are OS maps of the local areas to help you explore.

Woodgreen village has a newly refurbished traditional pub (dog friendly) serving very good food & real ale. The village also has a wonderful community shop selling a large range of local produce, making it very possible not to have to use your car once you are here if you don't want to.

The cottage has a double bedroom, lounge area with a cosy wood burner & double doors leading out to the patio. We have wifi, Humax (freeview) tv, video, digital radio & dvd player. The kitchen area is well equipped with microwave oven, double hob and slow cooker.

All logs, kindling and fire lighters are provided as are tea coffee, sugar etc

Outside is a private patio area with table and chairs, a BBQ with utensils is available on request , there is as access to a large shared woodland garden and lawn with more table and chairs backing onto private woods where deer can be seen in the early morning.

Avon Vale is available for weekends and short breaks all year as well as weekly . Please ask if you want less days than the minimum as it may be possible

Well behaved dogs are welcome and there is no extra charge for bringing them, though we do have a limit of two unless pre arranged. . If you are bringing a dog we do need to be notified before booking and can not accept puppies under 6 months old.

“Great location”

Amazing location and pet friendly accommodation and well equipped Forest walks on the door step ! WiFi was intermittent which was a bit disappointing We were made to feel welcome as the log burner was already heating the room when we arrived and some very tasty home made biscuits were there for us we would definitely go back again

Stayed for 2 nights as a last minute get away As a townie it was a great antidote to city living Lovely little place in the New forest Very peaceful Loved the log burner Take a warm dressing gown or throw As a bit chilly in the morning but it was January so can't complain Would love to visit again as good spot to see the New forest for a very reasonable cost

We had an amazing week at Georgie’s lovely cottage. My two dachshunds absolutely loved the big garden. Shame about the weather but we managed to walk in the forest. Georgie is a lovely host. We’re definitely going back again.

A lovely little cottage set in the woods with everything you need for a lovely relaxing stay,it was beautiful to have a log burner that heated the place so well,it was so quiet here and perfect for exploring the forest and also the coast you could not fault the place if quiet relaxation is what you are after we shall be back and also will reccomend

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
