Top vacation rental - 2012, 2013 and 2014 Travelers rated this property one of the FlipKey's best.

Bright and cheery, recently renovated, spacious studio apartment in a building directly on a pristine stretch of white sandy beach. Condominium Stella Maris is centrally located at 2 Condado Avenue in the heart of El Condado, right next door to the San Juan Marriot Resort and Stellaris Casino. The La Concha Hotel is a few blocks down the beach to the west. one of the FlipKey's best

The fifth floor location allows for spectacular views but is still low enough for you to be lulled to sleep by the surf at night. A full wall of sliding glass doors on the ocean side (facing North) opens up to tropical breezes and a fantastic panoramic vista. The black out curtains will allow you to sleep late in the morning.

The approximately 400 sq. ft. apartment has studio has air conditioning and a ceiling fan. There is a comfortable queen size platform bed. The living area has a comfortable love seat and a 4 person dining set.

The kitchen has a 4 burner stove, oven, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker and is fully equipped with glasses, silverware,pots and pans.

The studio has a flat screen cable television and a VCR/DVD player. There is free wifi high speed internet. There is a CD player, and an ipod docking station/alarm clock,

All linens and towels are provided- including beach towels. There are sand chairs for the beach as well as a small cooler. There is an iron and an ironing board. A coin operated laundry room is on the ground floor. There is also a hair drier in the newly renovated travertine tiled bathroom.

Each floor has a separate key for the elevator and another for the stair-well which helps to ensure both security and privacy. The well maintained twelve story condominium is separated from the beach by only a decorative cement wall. A designated space in the gated parking area might be available ($10 per night) when arrangements are made at booking time.

All you should need to bring with you is your clothing and your smile. The sun, surf and tropical breezes are all provided free.

Virtually any activity you'd expect at a seaside resort can be found in San Juan.

Tours out on the island can be arranged by the concierge desk at the Marriot Hotel next door. Wind surfing, jet skiing, deep sea fishing, scuba diving are all available in the metropolitan area. A cyber cafe and several gyms are with-in the neighborhood.

Museums, restaurants and shops abound as do taxis and car rental agencies. For less than a dollar, the city bus runs into Old San Juan, about 2 miles away. The International Airport is a 10 minute drive or a $16 flat rate taxi ride away.

Walgreens is a block away on the corner and several small convenience stores are near by. A well stocked larger grocery is about a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive.

There is a 5 night minimum requirement and the calendar is updates daily. Please check it for availability.

Getting around

A car is not a necessity. There iis a taxi stand out front at the Marriott. The bus line runs down Ashford Avenue one block away. Uber is now functioning in Puerto Rico. Tours can be arranged at the concierge desk of the Marriott next door.. A car isn't a necessity but it nice if you want to head out on the island. An assigned parking space is optional at an additional $10 per night and might be available if arranged in advance. There are many car rental agencies at the airport and some with in walking distance of the condo, (Charlie) There is a limited amount of on street parking.

Interaction with guest

I normally mail you a set of keys with detailed instructions. If time doesn't permit I will either met you personally or have you met by someone. Normally you leave the keys in the apartment at the end and I will pick them up. I reside in the same building but work for the airlines so I am often off the island for work
