“Simply heaven!” This apartment is truly perfect in every way possible! Two very spacious bedrooms, gated parking, huge balcony with a view to die for and the apartment is beautifully decorated throughout. Located in Speightstown, home to locals so the culture of the town is still very much alive and not crawling with tourists. The beaches closeby are breathtaking and the restaurants are out of this world amazing. The apartment is really well equipped too so we stayed in a few nights and cooked up a feast and relaxed in the comfy living area with our holiday books - bliss! I highly recommend and the owners are ever so helpful and willing to help out anyway possible to make your holiday perfect!

“Will definitely be coming back here.” Had a fantastic time here, the location is beautiful and the view was great. We dined out a lot, mostly at Champers restaurant, and Pisces, also Cafe Sol, all yummy and reasonably priced too. The weather was really nice, even for this time of the year, it rained twice while we were there but very mildly, it didn't put us off at all. The owner was very helpful and it was a cinch getting there, all round top spot, totally enjoyed it.

“Ideal Barbados holiday” We stayed for 2 weeks a Gingerbread Cottage. What a beautiful location. The cottage is 2 "Chattel Houses" put together to make one delightful cottage with a large wrap around veranda. Also on the property are 2 other villas, all this on several acres of land. It may lack the opulence of a Marriott but it has a charm that a big hotel can never have. We ate our "at home" meals on the porch where we could find shade and there was usually a cooling breeze. There are many restaraunts in the area but we did stray all over the island from this location. The owners made suggestions about activities and places of interest that were helpful. This has been a very pleasant and sucessfull vacation and a definite "must return". The swimming pool was a great feature of the property. It is large deep and well cared for. We only went to the ocean to swim 3 times in the 2 weeks and we visualized an ocean swim every day. In fact it was the pool about 3 times a day. If there was something I didn't like about this property it was relligated to the background by all the things we did like. The owners were always available and we were well looked after by Carol and Richard. I have said nothing about the tropical flowers but I must leave something for you to find yourself.

“Great!” There are already a lot of reviews about the other houses and I can only agree to what has been written. We stayed in Hummingbird house and although it is attached to Westerlee it is very private. The wrap around balcony with hammock is really woderful, spacy and excellent for the rainy days/hours. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, the BBQ on the veranda makes it perfect. The pool is great: you can really swim in it as it is large enough, it has a diving board and there is a fence around it, absolutely perfect for our 2 and 5 year old and us!! The enormous hospitality of Dick, Carol and their daughter Lottie can hardly be described. If you need them, they are there. Otherwise you don't see much of them and you even have the feeling you live there alone. They helped us out so often, they are really exeptional hosts. Thank you!

Sometimes known as Little England, Barbados is the ultimate in tropical get-aways. Lying just to the east of the Caribbean and surrounded by coral reefs this is a truly idyllic island. Relax and soak up the sun on the fine pinky-white sands or take a dip in the calm blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. Surfers should head to the South coast where the sea is full of gentle waves and you will also find some of the world's best windersurfing conditions. In total contrast is the rugged and wild seascape of the North and East coasts with huge waves crashing down upon the Atlantic shore.
Barbados naturally lends itself to watersports- try scuba diving and snorkelling in the crystal waters- but don't miss out on everything else the island has to offer. Take a trip to the capital Bridgetown and visit the historic Parliament buildings. Or a visit to an old plantation house will provide an important insight into the island's past. Natural wonders abound with the vast caves and underground lakes and the great Baobab tree. Golfers will be spoilt for choice with a selection of world-class courses, not to mention fantastic weather. And of course watch the Barbadians at what they do best, cricket! Head to the Kensington Oval and discover why this is the island's national sport, even friendly matches on the beach are a treat to watch!
